Welcome to Night Whispers.
This is your time,
A gentle pause between the day that has passed and the quiet of the night that now unfolds.
You've done enough today.
Whatever was unfinished,
It can wait.
Whatever worries arose,
They can soften now.
This space asks nothing of you but presence and rest.
So,
Allow yourself to settle.
Find your comfy position where your body feels supported,
Warm and cozy.
Maybe you are lying down,
Perhaps with a blanket tucked around you.
Feel the surface beneath you holding your weight and just notice how,
With every moment,
You are being supported fully.
There is no need to hold yourself up,
No need to be anywhere else.
Here,
In this quiet moment,
You can just let go.
Notice that the day is behind you now.
You've crossed the threshold into evening time.
The world has shifted into gentleness.
Perhaps you visualize the last light of sunset slowing and melting into twilight.
The golden glow softens into hues of lavender and deep blue.
And as the sky darkens,
Stars appear.
One,
Then another,
And another.
Until the night above is scattered with this quiet light.
Even without looking,
You can feel the sense of evening.
A time for slowing down,
For release,
For rest.
So,
Let yourself be carried by this natural rhythm.
Just as the earth turns from day into night,
Your body,
Too,
Is turning toward stillness.
Now,
Let's invite the breath to help your body let go.
Take a slow,
Deep inhale.
Feel your lungs with ease.
And exhale a long,
Soft sigh,
Releasing the day.
Again,
Breathing in slowly,
Peacefully.
And exhale longer than the inhale,
As though the breath is washing tension away.
Let's continue together.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Continue with this rhythm in your own time.
Inhale for four.
Exhale slowly,
For a count of six.
With each inhale,
You gather calm.
And each exhale releases heaviness,
Strain,
Or concerns.
With every breath,
Just imagine setting down a little more of what you carried today.
The weight of tasks,
The weight of responsibility,
The weight of emotion.
Just see all of it melting into the earth beneath you.
All of it is dissolving into the night.
Just continue this rhythm of breathing for three more rounds.
And once more,
Inhale for four,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And exhale for a count of six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And just resume your natural breathing pattern now.
Notice how your body begins to soften.
Your shoulders drop.
Your jaw loosens.
Your facial muscles relax.
The chest feels lighter.
You are gently unwinding breath by breath,
Letting go.
Your belly is soft.
Your back is relaxed.
Your arms and hands are soft.
Your hips releasing.
Your legs,
Feet,
And toes let go.
Now,
Invite in a simple intention.
To rest,
To heal,
To restore.
There is nothing you must do to make it happen.
Rest is already here,
Waiting for you.
It arrives the moment you allow it.
So,
Whisper to yourself silently,
I am open to rest.
I am open to peace.
I am open to sleep.
Feel the truth of those words settling gently within you,
Like seeds planted in the soil of your being.
I open to rest.
I open to peace.
I open to sleep.
Wonderful.
So,
Now remember this truth.
You are safe.
You are cared for.
This space is only for you.
So,
Let the night hold you as a companion.
Let it wrap around you like a soft,
Warm blanket.
Allow the stillness of the evening to cradle you,
Guiding you deeper into quiet rest and sleep.
As you rest here,
Know this.
You are safe.
You are cared for.
You are free to let go.
There is nothing more you need to do.
Nothing to figure out.
Nothing to carry forward.
The night is holding you like a soft cocoon,
A gentle cradle.
It is supporting you completely.
Your breath is slow.
Your body is heavy.
And your mind is quiet.
If sleep begins to arrive,
Just let it take you.
There is no need to resist.
There is no need to stay with my voice.
Simply drift as if floating on calm waters.
I invite you to drift into the softness of night.
Drift into the stillness that restores you.
Drift into deep,
Nourishing sleep.
Every exhale that you take carries you further,
Downward into peace,
Into dreams,
Into healing rest.
And if you are still awake now,
You can remain here as long as you wish,
Knowing that sleep will find you,
Gently,
Naturally,
In its own time.
For now,
Release yourself into the quiet embrace of night,
Safe,
Held,
At peace.
Sleep well,
My friend.
Sleep deeply.
Namaste.
