Welcome to my meditation.
My name is Anumiha Opalkar and today we fall asleep in gratitude while counting our blessings.
To begin,
Lay down in your favorite sleeping position,
Whatever is it that is comfortable for you.
Allow the body to rest in a way that feels supportive and nurturing.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Feel each inhale flow in softly and feel each exhale drift out gently.
Allow your breathing to unfold in a smooth and natural rhythm.
Each breath invites deeper comfort into your body.
Now slowly bring your awareness to the top of your head.
A soft wave of relaxation begins there.
The wave moves slowly across the forehead.
As you feel that wave move,
See how your scalp feels calm and smooth.
Allow that wave to move towards your forehead,
Allowing it to feel open and spacious.
Feel that wave of relaxation and awareness float into your eyes.
As this flows,
The muscles around your eyes soften.
As you let it go lower down,
See how your cheeks feel warm and relaxed and your jaw rests with ease.
Observe how that wave of relaxation allows your tongue to lay comfortably in your mouth.
Observe how it feels as that wave of relaxation and awareness goes down your neck,
Your shoulders sinking into ease and your arms feeling pleasantly heavy.
See your elbows rest and your forearms soften into more ease.
Your hands now feel warm and your fingers naturally relaxed.
As that wave flows through your chest,
See how your heart area feels open and gentle.
Allow your breathing to move through the chest with ease.
Observe how your belly rises and falls in a slow,
Peaceful rhythm.
Awareness drifts through the lower back.
Feel how your hips now feel more supported,
The thighs feel relaxed,
The knees rest easily,
The calves soften,
The ankles feel loose and your feet feel warm and settled.
Your entire body is now resting in a state of safety and comfort.
As your mind grows quiet with each breath,
Allow your body to enter a natural rhythm of rest.
Now let's turn that energy of relaxation and awareness into a big wave of gratitude.
A sense of appreciation begins to glow inside your mind and your body.
Bring into awareness the blessings that have unfolded throughout your life.
Moments of kindness received.
Moments of love shared.
Experiences of the blessings that shaped growth and understanding for you in your life.
Paths that opened at meaningful times and people who offered support,
Guidance and warmth.
Feel gratitude for every step that brought you here.
Every experience that contributed to the wisdom you have currently.
Every moment that carried value.
Moments of joy and love and abundance that you've given and you've received.
Recall all of your beautiful blessings.
Remember how life has been unfolding for you in meaningful ways.
Allow gratitude to settle into your heart like a soft golden light.
See how that light spreads gently through your chest.
As it spreads it carries warmth,
Appreciation and peace.
Now bring your awareness to today.
Recall the moments that offered something good.
What were your blessings today?

Moments of comfort and ease.
Each moment today carried value.

Feel gratitude for everything that worked in your favor and everything that worked against because in the end it is all working out in your favor.
