This poem is for all my loved ones who have crossed over into Heaven (aka the other side). This is also for anyone whose loved ones are there (heaven) and especially for anyone whose loved ones lost their battle to COVID-19.

Hi Inside Timer community and thank you for being here.

The poem I'd like to share with you today is one that I wrote as a way to cope with all the loss that I was seeing from COVID-19 as well as just loss in general.

Most people above the age of probably 20 at least have experienced the passing of a loved one,

Friend,

Neighbor,

Whatnot,

And this was my way of sort of processing and coping with that.

Memorial Day,

Matters of the Heart.

How could I forget you?

You're still a part of me.

You never really left this world,

For in my heart you'll always be.

The sound of your sweet voice,

The feeling of your touch,

Memories so precious and mean so very much.

So how could I forget you?

It's not possible,

You see,

For there's a place within my heart just for you and me.
