Before you sleep,
Take a moment to notice how much you've been holding today.
If your emotions feel big,
Tangled,
Or too close to the surface,
You're not alone.
And you're not doing anything wrong.
This space is here for the nights when everything feels like too much.
A place where you can breathe,
Soften,
And let your system reset gently at your own pace.
To settle in,
Find a position that feels comfortable for your body.
You don't need to force stillness.
Just let yourself settle in whatever way feels natural for you.
Let your weight sink into the surface beneath you.
Let yourself be held without effort.
Take a slow breath in and let it fall out softly.
No pressure to breathe deeply or perfectly.
Just letting the breath move in the way that it wants to.
If your emotions still feel close,
That's okay.
You're simply arriving.
Notice what overwhelm feels like in your body right now.
Maybe it's tightness.
Maybe it's a heaviness.
Maybe it's buzzing or restlessness.
Maybe it's nothing at all.
Just a sense of being stretched way too thin.
There's no need to fix it.
No need to make it go away.
Just acknowledging it gently,
Like saying,
I see how much you've carried today.
Let your shoulders drop a little.
Let your jaw loosen.
Let your hands rest in whatever shape they naturally fall into.
If there's a part of you that feels overloaded or fragile,
Imagine giving it a little more room.
Not pushing it away.
Not trying to calm it down or fix anything.
Just letting it breathe.
You might place a hand on your chest or your belly if that feels comforting.
You can quietly say inside of yourself,
You don't have to hold everything right now.
You can rest.
Feel how your body responds.
Maybe a small shift,
A tiny rest.
Maybe a release,
Or simply awareness.
There's no right way to feel.
Just being here is enough.
Imagine the day sitting beside you.
Not on top of you.
Not pressing into you.
Just beside you.
All the emotions.
All the moments.
All the things that felt like too much.
You don't have to sort through them all tonight.
You don't even have to understand them right now.
And you certainly don't have to carry them into sleep.
Let them sit there gently,
While you soften around the edges.
Let your breath become a little slower.
A little easier.
As if your body is quietly saying,
I'm ready to let go.
I'm ready to rest.
You don't need a full emotional reset.
Just a small one.
A softening.
A loosening.
A tiny bit of space between you and the weight of the day.
Let your body relax more deeply.
Let your breath move without effort.
Let your emotions rest,
Even if they're still present.
You're allowed to pause.
You're allowed to soften.
You're allowed to rest,
Even if everything isn't resolved.
As you drift towards sleep,
Take a moment to thank yourself for showing up here.
For giving your mind and body a place to rest.
