Today we embrace the energy of Mr.
Yosui's fifth rei principle.
Just for today be kind to all living things.
Begin now by finding a comfortable place to sit or lie and take a gentle breath in and breathe out slowly.
Bring your hands to your heart in gassho.
Palms pressed together gently and slowly close your eyes.
Take another slow steady breath in.
And as you exhale allow your shoulders to soften.
Your body begins to relax.
And allow your breathing now to fall into a slow steady rhythm.
Bringing all of your focus,
All of your attention just to your breath.
Breathing in.
Breathing in.
And slowly exhaling.
Allowing everything to soften.
Your thoughts to settle.
And as your body settles now we are going to invite in kindness,
Love and respect.
Welcoming in this energy to every part of our system.
In your mind or out loud.
Repeat these affirmations.
Allowing each one to land fully and absorb into your system.
Just for today I choose kindness in my thoughts,
Words and actions.
Just for today I choose to learn through love.
My kindness begins with me and naturally extends to others.
Just for today I treat myself and others with patience,
Compassion and understanding.
I move through the world with an open heart and peaceful intentions.
