Lying down or resting in whatever position feels most supportive for your body.

Allow your eyes to close gently.

And notice the simple fact that you have arrived.

There is nowhere else you need to be.

Take one slow,

Easy breath in through the nose.

And a soft breath out through the mouth.

And again.

Nothing forced.

Just allowing the body to settle.

In your mind's eye,

Imagine that it's night time.

You're resting on a small wooden boat.

Gently moored in a quiet bay just off the shore.

The boat is completely secure and at anchor.

It isn't drifting.

It isn't going anywhere.

Beneath you there's a slow,

Natural rocking.

A steady rise and fall that moves effortlessly with the sea.

You may notice the sound of the waves rolling in and out.

Passing beneath the boat,

Then softly meeting the shoreline nearby.

Feel the warmth of the blanket that's wrapped around you.

Warm and comforting.

As the cool sea air brushes gently against your skin.

Above,

The sky is dark and open.

The moon casting a soft shimmer across the water.

Not bright.

Just enough light to feel held by the night.

Nothing needs your attention.

The sea already knows how to hold you.

Just relax your mind.

You don't have to hold this image.

You don't have to follow my voice.

Simply allow the sounds of the ocean to take over.

Let the gentle rhythm beneath you do what it's always done.
