Jump into this cosmic inspired short session with two rounds of 3 stage breathing (belly chest breathing) followed by one round of balancing breathing with an inhale for 4 seconds and an exhale for 6 seconds. Please only do the breath retentions if they are comfortable and suitable for you and always go with what the body tells you. This session also uses both Alpha and high Gamma binaural beats. Transcript

Hello and welcome to this short activating session for a gentle energy lift.

Today we will be working through three rounds.

And for the first two rounds we will be flowing with three stage breathing.

You may have heard of this before as strong yogic breathing or maybe belly chest breathing.

Essentially it's all the same thing.

We take a long deep breath in through the nose until the belly expands.

Continue the breath into the lower chest,

Finally into the upper chest before we release and repeat the process.

At the end of the first two rounds there will be a short breath retention,

A breath hold.

And for the final round we will be balancing this out with some slow nasal breathing.

Breathing in for a count of four seconds and then breathing out for a count of six seconds.

If you are familiar with the ujjayi breath or ocean breath as it is sometimes known,

You can use this technique for round three.

So make sure you are in a comfortable position,

Sitting with your spine nice and straight.

And if you are ready we will begin the first round in three.

Enjoy this space as we hold the breath here.

And hold at the top.

At this stage just relax your breath and come back to your natural breathing rhythm.

Let go of any need to control or count the breath.

Posture,

Spine nice and erect.

And the last breath in.

And finally to balance out we step into the third and final round.

Breathing in for a count of four seconds and then breathing out for a count of six seconds.

We begin in three,

Two,

One.
