Take a breath in that's just for you and let it go.

Let's begin by arriving,

Not in the problems of the world,

But in the space that surrounds you,

The ground beneath you,

The air around you,

The world you live in right here,

Right here.

Now,

Let all your air out,

Let all the air out of your system and breathe in through your nose slowly for four,

So I want you to gently tune in to your own life,

The people you care for so deeply,

The community you touch in super small ways or big ones.

I hope you have a smile on your face as you think about your own life,

There's so much to be grateful for.

Now this is your corner of the world,

Your home,

Yes,

There is pain in the world,

And yes,

There are things that can break your heart to hear about,

But you are not powerless.

You change the world by tending to what is yours to tend,

With kindness,

With presence,

With love,

Lots of love.

Right where you are.

Is there a smile on your face?

I hope there is.

Now say this softly,

Either in your mind or out loud if you'd like.
