Hi,
This is Danielle,
And we're going to do a meditation on releasing the need to be the rude police.
So find a quiet,
Comfortable space,
Close your eyes,
And take a deep breath in,
And fill your lungs completely.
And then slowly exhale,
Letting go of any tension or stress that you may be holding,
Because for these few minutes you're just going to be here,
And you want to let anything out that's holding you back.
And with each breath,
Allow yourself to just sink deeper into this moment.
You don't need to be anywhere else right now,
You just want to be here in your body and in your breath.
Now think about the times when you felt the urge to correct others.
Maybe someone was rude or dismissive,
And you felt it was your responsibility to point it out,
To defend others,
Or to stand up for what's right.
It's natural to want to protect the vulnerable,
To stand up for kindness and respect.
But ask yourself,
Do I need to carry this burden every time I witness something I disagree with?
Do I need to spend my energy pointing out rudeness,
Correcting others' actions,
Or defending people from things they may not even be aware of?
So let's take a deep breath in,
And let's exhale.
Imagine releasing all of that weight,
All of that responsibility,
That you don't have to be the rude police.
You don't have to be the one who always steps in to make things right.
It's okay to allow others their own journey,
Even if it's messy,
And even if it's really difficult to watch.
So breathe in and out,
And instead of feeling the need to correct,
Imagine that you could just simply send them energetic energy of light and love.
Visualize a soft golden ball of light in your heart,
Just glowing brightly.
And with each breath,
This light just continues to grow stronger,
Warmer,
More expansive.
And you can send that light whenever you see rudeness or negativity.
You can send them this light of love and understanding.
You don't know what someone is carrying behind closed doors.
You don't know what kind of pain or struggle they may be going through.
You don't know the battles they face when no one is watching.
But we can always send compassion.
You can send them kindness from a place of understanding,
Without needing to fix or change their behavior.
So continue to breathe,
And imagine this light just flowing from your heart and extending out to anyone who is rude or hurtful.
You don't need to engage.
You don't need to confront.
Just imagine sending this light,
A ribbon of light.
Send them love,
The same love you would want for yourself.
In doing this,
You release the need to control their actions or their reactions.
And you let go of the idea that you always have to be the one to correct or defend,
So you're not always attracting that into your field.
Instead,
You can trust that everyone is on their own journey,
Learning and growing in ways that may not always be visible to you.
You are free to choose how to respond,
And you choose to respond with love,
Without the weight of trying to change someone else's behavior.
Continue to breathe,
And imagine giving yourself that energetic light and love of understanding,
Just as you would give it to them.
You give it to yourself.
And breathe in all of that light,
And allow it to just expand in your body,
So it fills every cell,
And you feel yourself vibrating with energetic love and understanding for yourself and for others.
Now,
Gently bring your attention back to your breath.
And you can now carry this ball of light with you.
Whenever you feel like you want to react,
You know that you have this energy inside you,
And that you can send that out to yourself and to others.
