Welcome to dark mode meditations.
It's okay that you're still not over it.
This is a meditation for the slow grief,
The lingering ache and the healing that doesn't follow anyone's timeline.
It's okay that you're still not over it,
That it still creeps in when you least expect it,
That it lives in songs you can't listen to anymore,
That it shows up in dreams or text drafts or silence.
We live in a world that celebrates moving on but healing isn't a race and you're not late.
You're just human.
There's no clock on grief,
No expiration date on emotion and no gold star for pretending you've forgotten.
What happened to you still matters.
Who you lost,
They still leave something behind.
And the version of yourself you may have left behind,
They still deserve to be remembered.
So if your chest still tightens sometimes,
If tears come out of nowhere,
If you still torch them in your head,
That's okay.
Not because you're broken,
Not because you're stuck but because your heart is still honest,
Still soft,
Still in process and you don't need to rush that.
Let yourself lie back now,
Let the world fall away just for a little while.
You don't have to carry the weight of progress and you don't need to prove how far you've come.
You just have to be here.
Still.
Breathing.
Existing.
You're allowed to miss them even if they hurt you,
Even if it ended badly,
Even if you were the one who left.
You're allowed to wish things had been different,
To carry both truth and tenderness,
To hold on and let go at your own pace.
You don't need another lesson and you don't need more pressure to grow.
You just need rest.
The kind of rest that lets your cells remember peace.
The kind of stillness that makes space for sorrow without fear and the kind of sleep that doesn't demand you wake up healed.
Close your eyes.
Soften your breath.
Let this moment wrap around you like a weighted,
Soft blanket.
No performance,
No pretending.
Just presence.
You're still healing.
That's not weakness.
That's evidence of love.
You don't have to be over it.
You just have to be here.
Let go of timelines.
Let go of pressure.
Let go.
Just for tonight.
