Hello.
Today's inspiration is to find your foundation.
The poet Rupi Kaur wrote that,
It was when I stopped searching for home within others,
And lifted the foundations of home within myself,
I found there were no roots more intimate than those between the mind and body that have decided to be whole.
Everything in nature is cyclical,
And no part of this cycle is more important than another.
In the cycle of our lives,
Building a solid foundation for strong roots to grow helps us to weather the storms and embrace the transitions.
We begin and begin again with tending to our personal infrastructure,
Our foundation,
Letting it support us and hold us steady throughout our life.
Our foundation is what we build our life upon,
And a strong foundation ensures that even amidst change or uncertainty,
We can thrive.
We have a place to come back to.
Let's find our foundation now.
Find a comfortable seat.
Gently close your eyes.
Take in a few deeper breaths.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Now bring your awareness to the area at the base of your spine.
Your root chakra or energy center.
As you breathe,
Visualize your breath moving through your root chakra.
Let your breath soften the area around your root chakra,
Awakening a sense of grounding,
Security,
Belonging.
Now breathing normally,
Please silently repeat the Sanskrit sound for the root chakra.
LAM Repeating the sound gently without forcing.
LAM LAM LAM Let the vibration of your root chakra support you,
Helping mind,
Body,
And spirit to feel grounded.
LAM LAM Continue silently repeating the mantra,
Allowing your root chakra to activate a sense of deep stability and belonging within you,
Forming a strong base for your foundation.
I'll watch the time.
Slowly begin to come back to your breath.
Notice your body breathing.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
The artist and writer Brian Andres said,
There are days I drop words of comfort on myself,
Like falling leaves,
And remember that it is enough to be taken care of by myself.
Today,
Make time to tend to your foundation.
Cook yourself a warm,
Nourishing meal that helps you feel grounded.
Give yourself a soothing foot massage,
Or connect with the earth by spending time outside or going for a walk.
Namaste.
