As we begin this guided meditation,

Make sure you're really comfortable.

Close down your eyes or soften your gaze.

Allow yourself to become aware of your body and particularly any places that are feeling tight or uncomfortable.

Breathe into these places where you're holding this tension.

Release that tension.

Relax and breathe into those places your body is carrying any stress.

Bring awareness to the muscles in your face,

Soften the corners of your mouth.

Let your tongue drop.

Release your cheeks and relax your brow.

Take a deep inhale across and into your shoulders and then exhale as you let your shoulders drop.

Breathe into your belly and feel it rise and exhale as you feel it fall again.

As you're becoming more aware of your breath,

Really experience the feeling of it filling your lungs and abdomen and then leaving your abdomen and lungs as you take a long exhale.

Let's relax a little more.

Inhale deeply through your nose and then exhale fully through your mouth and let it all go.

Let's repeat this and breathe in and then let it out in a long exhale.

Inhale.

Now,

As your breath returns to normal,

Imagine yourself in a beautiful flower-filled field.

You're seated comfortably or lying down in the soft grass amongst the blue,

Yellow,

Pink,

And white wildflowers.

Their fresh perfume fills your nostrils as you enjoy a feeling of complete tranquility.

You hear a gentle sound of birdsong in the air and you start to feel weightless.

Your body is so relaxed and feels as light as a wispy,

Soft feather.

You gaze above at the pale blue sky and watch cottony clouds floating around dreamily.

The clouds appear so beautiful and they look so soft.

You feel yourself gently,

Really gently,

Begin to float upwards,

Held by the perfumed air around you and carried up towards the beckoning sky.

You enjoy a feeling of complete peace and tranquility.

You know that you are safe and you simply allow yourself to enjoy this feeling of being held gently by the air in the sky.

As you float in the warm haziness of welcoming blue and white,

You experience complete relaxation.

This feels like bliss as you are held and supported and you entrust the blue heavens to hold you safe.

In this blissful,

Relaxed state,

You are gently floating amongst fluffy,

Pretty clouds,

Feeling the gentle,

Cotton-soft dewiness,

The freshness of the clouds,

To then slip through cloud wisps and return into the immense blue sky.

Feeling the warmth of the great golden sun's rays on your skin.

You float and rest on a cloud held by air,

Supported by the sky,

Feeling at peace,

Feeling at one with the energy of our beautiful,

Great,

Mighty,

Tender world.

Let's stay here for just a short time more,

Floating in the big sky,

Perhaps even kissing the clouds,

Feeling completely at ease,

Infused with light from our great and mighty sun.

I'll be quiet for another minute so you can continue to enjoy this sacred time.

Now,

Let's begin to gently come back down to earth,

To float down to the ground below,

As you slowly feel yourself descend down to rest once more on the green meadow's grass,

Amongst the sweetly scented wildflowers.

Let's take a deep inhale and then let it out fully in a long exhale.

Make some gentle movements,

Perhaps stretching up your toes,

Wiggling your fingers,

Gently moving your head from side to side.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes,

Look around and welcome yourself back into your space.

This meditation is here for you to return to when you'd like to take a few minutes for yourself,

A few minutes in which to relax,

Release,

And rise up to kiss the clouds.
