Hi,

I'm Andrea Bailey from Evolving Mind and Body.

During this time together,

We will be practicing muscle relaxation.

First,

Start by getting into a comfortable position,

Preferably lying down.

Begin to breathe deeply,

Expanding your lungs on the inhale and squeezing out all the oxygen from your lungs on the exhale.

Now,

Beginning with your feet,

Imagining your feet heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your calves heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your kneecaps heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your thighs heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your buttocks heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining all of your lower extremities heavy and melting into the floor.

Feeling the weight of your core,

Your back,

Your spine heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your pelvis,

Your lungs,

Your bladder,

Your kidneys and liver,

Your pancreas,

All of your internal organs heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your chest rising and falling and melting into the floor.

Imagining your shoulders heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your arms heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your legs heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your arms heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your hands,

Your palms,

Your fingers,

Your fingernails,

All heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your skull,

Imagine it heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagining your eyes,

Ears,

Nose,

Mouth,

Chin,

Cheeks,

Eyebrows,

Eyelashes,

Eyelids,

Hair,

Forehead,

All heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagine all of your blood coursing through your body is heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagine all of your muscles are heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagine your whole skeletal system is heavy and melting into the floor.

Imagine all of your cells,

All of your skin,

All of the tiny hairs on your body,

All of your pores heavy and melting into the floor.

All of your being is heavy and melting into the floor.

This pure relaxation in this puddle that has been created,

In this puddle that has been created of melting into the floor.

Breathing in relaxation and exhaling.

Breathing in peace and tranquility,

Rest and rejuvenation,

And exhaling.

Feeling this complete sense of calm through your entire body as you're fully relaxed,

Breathing in again,

And exhaling with a sigh,

And again,

And one more time.

Beginning to wiggle your feet,

Your toes,

Your hands,

Your fingers,

Bringing sensation back into your body,

Moving your legs,

Your arms,

Bringing that sensation to life.

Moving your torso,

Moving your neck,

Moving your head,

Shimmying your shoulders,

Beginning to wiggle,

Bringing to life all of that energy that is coursing through your body.

Bringing that relaxation back,

Bringing that energy back into your system.

Breathing deep,

Awakening your system,

Awakening to this new rejuvenation.

Awakening your system,

Awakening to this new rejuvenated sense of peace and relaxation throughout your entire body.

Opening your eyes,

Moving into a seated position,

And thanking yourself for showing up and making yourself a priority.
