Join Lena on a peaceful bedtime adventure deep in the rainforest, where she meets a colourful toucan and a playful family of monkeys high in the treetops. Together, they soar through the canopy, glide past a shimmering waterfall, and discover the quiet magic of nature at night. This soothing story helps children unwind after a busy day with gentle imagery and calm pacing. Accompanied with dreamy music by Alan Frijns. The track ends with an easy counted breathing exercise (two in, three out) to help little listeners relax and drift into sleep. Good evening,

It's Gina here.

Tonight we're joining Lina for a magical journey in the heart of the rainforest.

A place full of colour,

Adventure and wonder.

So snuggle in,

Get cosy and let's begin.

Rain fell softly outside Lina's treehouse,

Tapping a sleepy rhythm on the wooden roof and dripping steadily from the lush green leaves outside her window.

The air smelled fresh and sweet,

Full of flowers,

Moss and the soft hush of evening rain.

Lina leaned on her windowsill.

Watching drops slide down the glass.

I wonder what it's like way up above the treetops,

She whispered.

Just then a flash of colour fluttered past.

Red,

Yellow,

Blue and green,

Shining even brighter than the raindrops.

It was a toucan,

With a big golden beak and eyes that sparkled like sunlight through the leaves.

He landed gently on the railing and gave a cheerful chirp.

Good evening Lina,

Said the toucan in a smooth,

Friendly voice.

Would you like to see the rainforest from above?

Lina blinked in surprise,

Then smiled.

Oh yes,

Please!

The toucan bowed slightly.

Hop on then,

The forest is most magical when it's raining.

Lina climbed carefully onto the toucan's back.

His feathers were soft and warm and he smelled faintly of rain and fruit.

With a few strong beats of his wings,

They lifted into the air.

The treehouse grew smaller below them and the forest stretched out endlessly,

Shades of green speckled with bursts of red flowers and shimmering pools of water.

The air was cool and full of sound,

Water dripping from high branches,

The gentle wind playing with the leaves and the distant call of parrots echoing through the trees.

As they rose higher,

The toucan pointed with his beak.

Look there Lina,

The canopy,

It's where the forest meets the sky.

At the top of the canopy,

The world was alive with light.

Sunbeams sparkled on the wet leaves and lists curled around the tallest trees like ribbons.

Lina heard gentle giggles.

From a branch nearby,

A family of monkeys peeked out.

Tiny baby monkeys clinging to their mothers,

Older ones swinging playfully between vines.

One brave little monkey jumped close and offered Lina a shiny green leaf.

She laughed softly.

Thank you,

She said,

Tucking it into her pajama pocket.

The monkeys began to play,

Twirling,

Leaping,

Swinging,

Their laughter filling the air.

Lina watched,

Smiling,

As the toucan perched nearby,

Humming a quiet tune that matched the rhythm of the falling raindrops.

When the sky began to glow with late afternoon sun,

The toucan said gently,

It's time to head home Lina,

The forest is getting ready for sleep.

They soared above the canopy,

Gliding past vines and bunches of fruit,

Following the sound of rushing water.

Ahead,

A waterfall shimmered in the golden light,

Cascading down the rocks like liquid glass.

Mist floated all around them,

Cool and soft against Lina's face.

Rainbows danced in the spray,

And for a moment,

Everything was still.

The waterfall,

The air,

Even the sound of the forest,

Seemed to pause and breathe.

It's beautiful,

Whispered Lina.

The toucan flew gently,

Carrying Lina back towards her little wooden treehouse,

Nestled in the crook of a branch.

The rain had stopped now,

The world glowed silver and green,

And fireflies flickered like tiny stars among the leaves.

He landed softly on the porch and gave a small bow.

Thank you for the ride,

Said Lina sleepily.

Sweet dreams little one,

The toucan replied,

And with a graceful flutter,

He disappeared into the trees.

Lina tiptoed inside.

She took the little leaf out of her pocket and placed it under her pillow.

I hope I dream of my journey to the canopy,

She thought to herself as she climbed into bed.

Through the open window,

She could still hear the waterfall far away,

A soft,

Steady lullaby.

Now it's time to rest,

Just like Lina.

Close your eyes and imagine you're in a cosy treehouse in the rainforest.

Outside,

The leaves rustle softly,

And the night air feels cool and calm.

Let's take a few peaceful breaths together,

Breathing like the forest.

Breathe in,

One,

Two,

Breathe out,

One,

Two,

Three.

Breathe in,

One,

Two,

Breathe out,

One,

Two,

Three.

Once more,

In,

One,

Two,

And out,

One,

Two,

Three.

Now let your breath return to normal.

The forest hums quietly,

The waterfall whispers,

And your body feels light and still.

The rainforest rests,

And so can you.

Good night,

My friend.
