Join Leo for another gentle journey, in this soothing kids bedtime story meditation. Leo looks up at the night sky from his bedroom and realises what a beautiful planet Earth truly is. Still curious, he travels to the Moon, bouncing lightly in the calm lunar dust before returning home for a short gratitude practice. This peaceful tale helps children relax, unwind, and drift into sleep while nurturing mindfulness, gratitude, and a quiet sense of wonder. This track is part of a calming collection of bedtime stories where Leo journeys to a different planet each night, discovering beauty, science, and mindfulness along the way. Each episode includes soothing cosmic imagery and a short guided relaxation to help children drift peacefully into sleep. If your little one enjoys tonight’s visit to the Moon, feel free to follow along and join Leo again tomorrow — as he travels to Mars.

Good evening,

It's Gina here.

Tonight we're joining Leo for another gentle space adventure,

One that's a little closer to home.

So snuggle down in your blankets and relax and you'll get started.

Leo is lying in bed gazing out his window.

The night is clear and the sky is full of stars.

He can see the bright glowing circle of the moon shining above the trees.

Smile softly,

He's been to two faraway planets,

Mercury and Venus.

But tonight as he looks at the moon,

He realizes something special.

The next planet from the sun is Earth,

He whispers,

And what an incredible planet it is,

Full of oceans and forests,

Mountains and life.

I am so lucky to call it home.

For a moment,

Leo just breathes calmly,

Feeling thankful for his beautiful planet.

But soon a spark of adventure begins to twinkle inside him again.

Maybe tonight,

He says,

I'll go somewhere close,

Not too far away.

I'll visit the moon.

Leo tiptoes over to his little silver rocket,

Parked right outside his window.

It gleams softly in the moonlight,

Ready and waiting.

He climbs inside and settles into his seat.

With a gentle hum,

The rocket starts up.

Leo fastens his seatbelt,

Presses a button and counts softly.

Three,

Two,

One,

Liftoff.

The rocket rises smoothly into the sky,

Past the rooftops,

Past the clouds,

Past the air itself,

Until the stars are shining all around.

Through the window,

Leo can see the Earth growing smaller below,

A swirl of blue,

Green and white.

He feels calm and light,

Watching the clouds drift across his home world.

Ahead,

The moon shines brighter and brighter,

Like it's welcoming him.

After a short journey through the quiet of space,

Leo's rocket gently lands on the rocky grey surface of the moon.

Everything is still,

There is no sound here,

But Leo can hear the steady beat of his heart.

He changes into his space suit and steps outside.

He can feel soft moon dust beneath his boots,

And when he takes a small step forward,

He bounces.

He laughs quietly.

He gives another little jump and floats up into the air,

Landing softly like a feather.

It's almost like flying,

He says with a smile.

He takes a few more slow,

Gentle bounces,

Feeling peaceful and light.

After a while,

Leo begins to feel sleepy.

He sits down for a moment,

Looking up at the black sky full of shining stars.

Far away,

The Earth hangs like a blue marble,

Beautiful,

Bright and full of life.

That's home,

Leo whispers softly.

How beautiful it is.

He takes a deep,

Slow breath in through his nose and gently out through his mouth.

This time you can join in with Leo if you like.

Imagine you are sitting calmly on the moon,

Looking back at our wonderful Earth.

Now take a deep breath in through your nose and let it all back out through your mouth.

Feeling cosy and calm,

Leo climbs back into his rocket.

The engines hum softly.

The moon begins to shriek below as he glides homeward towards the glowing curve of Earth.

The rocket drifts down through the clouds,

Past the sleepy hills and twinkling towns and lands quietly by Leo's window.

He steps out of his rocket,

Makes his way across the garden,

Back inside to his warm,

Soft bed.

His eyelids are heavy,

But his heart feels full.

He takes a moment for a gratitude practice,

Whispering softly to himself.

I'm grateful for our wonderful planet.

I'm grateful for our beautiful moon.

And I'm grateful for my home and my family here on Earth.

Leo snuggles down under his blanket.

The stars shimmer outside his window,

The same stars he saw from the moon.

He takes one last slow breath in and out.

Leo smiles and drifts into dreams,

Floating peacefully among the stars.

If you've enjoyed this journey,

Perhaps you'd like to join us tomorrow night when Leo travels to Mars.

Until then,

Good night my friend.
