Welcome to this guided meditation.
I'm your guide,
Dr.
Andrew Goff.
Begin by settling into a comfortable position.
You may sit down.
Perhaps lying down is what is most comfortable for you.
Let's start by taking a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Rest your body gently,
Without tension or effort.
Allow your hands to soften,
Your eyes to close,
Your breath to slow.
On your next inhale,
Breathe,
And let go.
Let yourself arrive here fully,
Not in yesterday,
Not in tomorrow,
Right here in this moment of relaxation.
This moment is enough.
Today has been filled with small things,
Answering messages,
Wiping off surfaces,
Guiding a child's hand,
Moving from one task to the next.
And perhaps,
There's a part of you that wonders,
Does any of it matter?
Let's pause here and listen to those questions.
Is this the job for me?
Am I making a difference?
What more can I do to make the change,
To feel the satisfaction?
Those questions,
Those wonders that lead you to ask yourself,
Does any of it matter?
Yes,
Yes,
It matters.
Every small action,
Every quiet task completed,
Every seemingly ordinary moment is a step,
A step forward,
A step into something that is not visible.
And though you may not see it now,
You are shaping a path,
A path forward,
A path toward meaning.
Over time,
You will begin to discover this,
But the only path forward can be discovered one step at a time.
We're often taught to fix our gaze on the big picture,
Our goals,
Dreams,
Outcomes,
On the version of life we imagine we must reach to feel fulfilled.
These hopes may have been with you for years,
Shaped by others,
They became a part of the story you've told yourself.
But sometimes,
The very dreams we cling to can become the weight that drags us down.
They begin to narrow,
They can close our eyes and blind us to what's unfolding just beyond the edges of what we expected.
Take a deep breath,
Now gently release any dreams or longings that feel heavy,
Not because they're not important,
But because they don't need to be carried all the time.
They are not part of every step forward.
The truth is,
The most meaningful opportunities in life often arrive quietly,
Without warning,
And in directions we did not plan for.
They don't come because we chased them,
They come because we kept walking forward one step at a time,
Because we stayed open,
Because we honored the present moment instead of the racing past it.
Breathe in,
And feel the simplicity of this moment.
You finished things for today,
Maybe small things,
But things that mattered.
You made space for someone.
You showed up,
You closed the loop,
And most importantly,
You kept going one step at a time.
And now,
This moment is asking you to recognize you are closer to something beautiful,
Not because you're forcing it,
But because you've moved one step forward.
You are not stuck.
You are not lost.
You are in motion,
Step by step,
Task by task,
Breath by breath.
Let go of needing to know where it's all heading.
Let go of the picture of your life you thought you were supposed to have.
And allow the quiet beauty of what is to arrive,
Because what's coming is not what you imagined.
It may be better,
It may be fuller,
But you will only meet it if you stay present.
And you are here now.
Take another slow breath in,
And gently exhale,
Feel the calm of knowing that you and your small accomplishments matter.
They are not detours.
They are not delays.
They are the path itself.
You are not waiting for your life to begin.
You are already in it.
And the next step,
The one you can't see yet,
Will reveal itself when you're ready.
For now,
You can rest.
You can move forward with your day.
You've done enough,
And that is beautiful.
Thank you for listening to this guided meditation.
