Hello everybody,
I'm Annamarie from Heavenly Healing.
Today I want to do a meditation on acceptance.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated position.
Sit with your spine tall and your hands gently resting on your lap.
Close your eyes for me,
Softly,
And take a few deep breaths to centre yourself in this present moment.
If there's anything that's bothering you,
Rectify it now,
A piece of clothing,
Your shoes.
Maybe you just need to wrap yourself in the chair.
Do it now as I need you to be 100% comfortable.
As you breathe,
Allow yourself to become aware of any tension or resistance in your body.
Notice any area of tightness or discomfort and with each exhale consciously release any resistance you may be holding onto.
Now I want you to bring your awareness to the concept of acceptance,
The practice of acknowledging and embracing things as they are,
Without judgement and without resistance.
With each breath,
Imagine yourself surrounded by a soft golden light,
Representing the energy of acceptance.
Feel this light enveloping you,
Wrapping you in a warm embrace of love and compassion.
As you continue to breathe,
Bring to mind something in your life that you've been struggling to accept,
A difficult situation,
A challenging emotion or a part of yourself that you've been resisting.
With each exhale,
Invite this situation or emotion into your awareness,
Holding it gently in your heart and with each exhale,
Send waves of acceptance and compassion towards it.
Affirm to yourself,
I accept this moment as it is.
I surrender to the flow of life.
I trust in the wisdom of the universe.
Take a moment to bask in the feeling of acceptance,
Knowing that you are held and supported by the loving embrace of the universe.
As you sit in this space of acceptance,
Extend forgiveness and compassion to yourselves and others.
Release any judgements or expectations that may be holding you back from fully embracing the present moment.
With a deep breath in,
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes gently.
Give yourself a nice deep stretch.
Take a nice couple of deep breaths in and out,
In and out.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Thank yourself for taking this time to practice acceptance.
Carry the warmth and the compassion of this practice with you throughout your day,
Knowing that acceptance is the key to your inner peace and your freedom.
