Welcome.
This practice is designed to help calm an overstimulated nervous system.
Especially for those who may feel sensitive to their environment.
To their emotions.
Or to sensory input.
So.
If you've been feeling overwhelmed.
Or overstimulated.
This is a space.
To gently Slow down.
You don't need any experience.
For this practice.
And you are welcome.
To sit.
Or to lie down.
In a position that is most comfortable for you.
And at any time.
.
.
You can pause.
Or just.
.
.
In whatever way feels most supportive.
For you and for your body.
We will move slowly.
Using the brass.
And simple awareness.
To help your nervous system.
Settle.
So let's go ahead and begin.
Find a comfortable position.
And allow your body to settle in that position.
Now take a slow breath in.
And a long,
Soft breath out.
And you can inhale through your nose.
And exhale through your nose.
Or through your mouth.
Whichever feels most comfortable for you.
So let's take three breaths.
Together.
One.
Two.
And three nervous systems often take in a lot.
Of information.
Sounds.
Energy.
In motion.
And this can all feel.
Overwhelming.
Continue taking Slow breaths in.
And long,
Soft breaths out.
Let's take three more breaths together.
One.
Two.
Series.
At this moment,
There is absolutely nothing required of you.
Just bring your awareness.
To your breath Let your inhale be gentle.
As you continue to take.
Slow breaths in.
And let your exhale be slow,
Long,
And soft.
Begin lengthening your exhale slightly.
Keeping it slow and soft.
Inhale.
And exhale longer,
More slowly,
And soft.
Now let's take three more breaths together.
One.
Too.
And three.
And imagine your nervous system slowly unwinding as you breathe.
Like waves settling.
Let your shoulders soften.
Let your jaw relax.
And allow your belly.
To someone.
Continue breathing slowly and softly.
And let's take three last breaths together.
One.
To.
.
.
And three Rest here.
And as we come to a close.
Take a moment to notice how you feel.
Even the smallest of shifts matter.
And thank you for giving yourself this time to slow down.
And reset.
And remember.
You are always welcome to return to this practice whenever your system feels overstimulated or overwhelmed.
