Good morning,
Welcome to your day.
Let's start as we mean to go on,
Full of gratitude and joy.
So take a couple of deep cleansing breaths,
And as you exhale,
Let your dreams of the night drift off out into the daytime.
Let yourself be awake,
Ready for a new day,
A new start.
Think of three things you can be grateful for immediately.
Three things that surround you.
And now think of three things that are coming up today that you can look forward to.
It could be as simple as having a cup of tea,
Or knowing you'll see a face that will make you smile.
And now look ahead to the end of the day.
When you come back home tonight,
When you reach your bed,
What will you look back on on your day and say,
That went well?
Imagine that's happened.
Those three things that you want to happen,
Happened.
It was all lovely.
It can be something big,
Like an important business meeting going well.
Or it can be something small,
Like finally getting the right parking space.
No limits.
And back to this morning,
How do you want to feel today?
You get to choose any minute,
All the time,
You have the choice,
How would you like to feel?
Say it out loud or in your head as an affirmation to yourself.
Today I feel happy.
It could be today I feel competent.
Today I feel strong.
But say it clearly to yourself,
And allow the truth of it to sink right into your bones.
You're going to carry this through with you all day.
And remember at any point in the day,
You can change that affirmation to whatever suits the mood of the current situation.
Take a couple more deep opening breaths.
And maybe stretch,
Open your arms wide if that's possible.
And allow yourself to feel the energy of the new day coming into you.
Part of nature,
Waking up to the world.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes and have a wonderful day.
