Hello there and welcome back to our fifth episode of an introduction to meditation Friday 15 we are back and today we're going to be exploring how meditating on an image meditating with an image can be super super powerful and I'm going to be using some beautiful oracle cards now you might be like oh but Josie I'm not into tarot or angel cards oracle cards and and honestly you really don't have to be into it you don't even have to believe in it we're just using it for the benefit of a visual of having an image and having an image is such an empowering thing to do because your brain is constantly creating images as we're having this little chat right now me talking to you you're having different images different visuals within your mind whenever we are thinking about the future or remembering into the past the brain is producing images so we are image abundant people already just as a species and as we know with advertisements image sells image goes straight into our emotional bank and kind of reminds us of and triggers our emotions so images are super super powerful and it's a really amazing tool to get into a space of meditation so let's try it out for you today so all I want you to do is come into a seated position and go ahead and close your eyes taking some nice deep breaths in through the nose up through the mouth and just really making yourself comfortable in the ways that you know best here relax your shoulders relax the belly take another nice deep breath in and a big sigh out and then this wonderful state just place one hand to the center of your chest to your energetic heart and first of all just really thank yourself for everything you did this week thank yourself for everything you achieved thank yourself for everything you completed and now also go ahead and choose to thank yourself for everything you decided not to do the things you said no to whether that was a relationship whether that was a work thing whether that was a friendship thing maybe that was asking someone else to do the cleaning take a moment to really thank yourself for standing up for yourself sending in a boundary and actually saying no this is not the right time for me and then finally ask yourself what am I ready to receive what am I ready to receive right now what in my life am I ready to receive what am I ready to call in and then I will draw a card for you on behalf of you what are you ready to call in wow this is beautiful I would like you to just listen to my words first and foremost so the card here is an ancient stone circle stones are said to hold great wisdom they outlive us the stones were here long before we came they will be here long after we are gone it's an incredible stone circle so our ancestors would have used these stone circles for their different beliefs for their different rituals for a way to connect without with their breath if their essence with the essence of their being and now this specific card with this beautiful great big stone circle that connects and corresponds to the stars the it's like a grid and the card is called alignment you are calling in alignment it is all coming together precision determination it is all coming together you're coming into alignment you're coming into alignment with that which is truly in your heart so you can go ahead and blink your eyes open for a moment and just take in this card just notice where you're feeling called to look maybe you're mainly noticing the triangular shape the light maybe I'm mainly noticing the grid maybe the stones are calling for you maybe the text so take a moment and start to breathe in this card so if each inhale just breathe in that message breathe it in let it land breathe it in let it land one more here excelling out the week one more nice deep breath in and again don't don't need to analyze this or criticize it just notice wherever your eyes are going whatever you are drawn to within this image really allow yourself to juice that out so whatever you personally are drawn to really trust that draw it in and now imagine you're taking a snapshot so in three two one just taking a snapshot in your mind's eye and then go ahead and close your eyes and now with your eyes closed relax your shoulders relax the belly relaxing down through the chest and take a moment again just to recall that image what really stood out for you what was special for you in that image was it the symmetry was it the grid shape was the stone circle maybe the stones themselves was it the color of the image that you really loved that kind of turquoise green like fluorescent color was it the fact that it was twilight the time of the day in the in-between state what was it that truly stood out for you was it the words alignment coming together it is all coming together you are not falling apart you are falling into place and now I invite you to just ask yourself what was the strongest calling in that message for you in that image what was the strongest calling for you what really caught your attention the first thing that springs to mind and now breathe that in really allow yourself to receive that image receiving that nourishment deep breath in exhaling out any stress or tension and again nice deep deep deep deep breath in breathing in filling up your heart your mind your soul your body exhaling out any tension let it go relaxing the shoulders relaxing the belly one more nice deep breath in breathing in from the soles of your feet breathing in through your hands into heart hold it for a moment now at the tip-top of this inhalation take another sip of air in at the tip-top of this inhalation place anything that's no longer serving you limited belief system or pattern and experience whatever it is in three two one big sigh out give it up to the universe let it go ha normal breath in and a normal breath out and then as always relax the shoulders relax down through all of your facial muscles relaxing down through the belly your sweet sweet sweet belly let it go let all that tension release away from you it is not yours to hold it was never yours to hold let it go relaxing down through the jaw allow for the lips to gently slide apart and let the tongue surrender into the lower part of the mouth let your body have weight surrender any heaviness into the earth let go and let love in taking a moment just to notice the soles of your feet being held by the earth and your next exhale can you really drop the body weight into the soles of your feet dropping the body weight into your sitting bones let your pelvic floor get a little heavier relax surrender surrendering surrendering the tension doesn't mean giving up it means letting go of the need to hold that which was never ours to hold letting go of that which has kept you feeling small or blocked or stagnant soften my love this is your time to relax release and allow yourself to bring in peace noticing how life is right now breathing life into you relax through the shoulders relaxing the jaw lips are gently sliding apart in this moment everything is okay you're coming into alignment again visualizing that beautiful image all of the fluorescent colors at twilight dusk blues and greens the great big stone circle the grid how it corresponds to the stars the starlit sky above how it connects heaven to earth and the energy all the way through us now receiving it alignment you are calling in alignment you are realigning to the values of your heart and your soul relax your shoulders and let go of the need to control all is well my love let's soften together here going even deeper into the embrace of the surface you're sitting on now let that chair the earth the bed really hug you and hold you notice how comforting it feels to be held noticing how wonderful it feels to be held for the next few moments I will be quiet so that you have the opportunity to simply meet yourself the being the beautiful being that you are when no one else is watching if your mind feels busy that is completely okay but keep coming back to that beautiful image of alignment stone circle ancient ancient wisdom the grid the stars the earth holding you few moments here by yourself now you can add an affirmation such as I am receiving alignment I am coming into alignment with my true values I am alignment I am aligning and now few moments to spend time with your own sacred soul you're doing so great few more moments really breathe in that message visualize it embody it become that image become that energy of alignment you are aligning everything is falling into place you are not falling apart you are falling into place you are realigning to the dreams of your being your soul had a dream your life was it you are realigning relaxing for the shoulders relaxing into the belly if you're in a beautiful state right now I invite you to stay here for as long as you like but if it is time for you to finish with me and start to deepen your breath start to run funds across your fingertips ah wiggle your toes a little bit give yourself a smile you can roll the head from side to side getting the blood flowing a little more maybe take a little stretch arms to the sky stretching from side to side and then go ahead and bring your hands to your heart taking a nice deep breath in as we exhale blow out the cobwebs so the new can begin have an
