Hello my friend,
And welcome to this meditation.
I hope you find yourself in a comfortable position,
Ready to relax after what may have been a long day.
If it feels right,
Close your eyes,
Or gently soften your gaze.
The day is done.
It is time to turn inward.
It is time to give yourself the space to feel,
To reflect,
To be kind to yourself.
I invite you to think about your day,
The day that just passed.
Look at it through a lens of love and understanding and gratefulness.
Consider all the things that went well today.
Think about all the different moments of your day that you dreamt about 10 years ago.
Maybe you had dreamt about waking up next to a person you loved.
Maybe you dreamt about waking up in a space of your own.
Maybe it was quiet mornings,
Sitting on the porch.
Maybe you dreamt of loud,
Messy mornings with a house full of children.
Maybe it was commuting to work on the way to your dream job.
Maybe it was simply having a career that was stable and provided for you and your family.
Take a moment and think of yourself from 10 years ago and imagine that you are looking at your day today.
What moments of your day would seem so exciting?
And no matter what your day looked like,
Move into this evening knowing that you've done enough.
Whatever you accomplished,
However you spent your time,
Was exactly what you needed to do today.
And if there's any moments of the day that are lingering with negative emotions tied to them,
I invite you to picture these thoughts,
These feelings,
Little balls of light in your brain.
Envision them moving down through your head,
Over your shoulders,
Down your arms,
Until they land in the palms of your hands.
Take your palms and squeeze them tight,
Squishing and squeezing these emotions and when you're dust of these feelings to float away,
They're no longer welcome here.
You're moving into a place of peace and relaxation.
Take a second,
Say something nice to yourself.
Maybe that you're proud of something that happened today or that you're proud of yourself for turning on this meditation,
Whatever it is.
Take a few moments to speak kindly to yourself.
And if you feel called,
Wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a big hug.
It's time to move into your evening,
Feeling calm,
Feeling at peace.
Feel free to stay in this moment as long as you'd like,
But when you're ready,
Start to notice the sounds of the room you're in,
Feel the support of the surface beneath you.
Start to wiggle your fingers and your toes and slowly begin to open your eyes.
I see you.
I love you.
Until next time.
