Hello my friend and welcome to this grounding meditation for after a long day I'm so proud of you for being here and for pressing play You deserve this time to relax Find a comfortable position whether that's seated or maybe lying in your bed and when you're ready softly close your eyes or gently lower your gaze We've got five minutes here together to simply ground ourself in this moment and let go of the chaos of the day Let's start with a deep breath in and a soft exhale out your mouth Another deep breath in through your nose Slow exhale out your mouth I invite you to check in with your body Notice where you may be holding tension Any areas that could use a little love or release We often hold tension in our jaw so maybe check there How about your forehead?

Can you relax your eyebrows?

Check in with your hands and your fingers Maybe give your fists a tight squeeze and then relax Let's check in with our feet Maybe point and flex your toes and then find some stillness Deep breath in through your nose and exhale Notice the surface beneath you Notice how it's supporting you Notice the parts of your body that are touching that surface If you're laying on the bed it may be your back,

Your shoulders,

Your legs and if you're seated it could be your bottom,

Your legs Let this surface fully support you You've made it through your day and it's time for you to surrender Take a second to check in with yourself with your feelings,

Your emotions Is there anything you need to tell yourself in this moment?

I encourage you to take a second and think of three nice things to say to yourself Maybe something that went well that day Something that makes you proud of yourself Maybe just some loving words,

Something that you need to hear Deep breath in and release As our time together comes to a close I encourage you to end your day being kind to yourself showing yourself the love that you deserve At this point it's up to you whether you want to wiggle your fingers and your toes and slowly awaken your body or maybe you simply continue to rest and enjoy this time and relaxation I hope you have a wonderful rest of your night I see you,

I love you Until next time

As I was circling around my desk metaphorically, I came upon this meditation and feel so much more focused now. I love your questions at the end. They elicit such self kindness.

You made a five minute meditation feel like ten minutes - in a good way! Covered a lot but didn’t feel rushed, a great one for when I’ve run out of time, thank you.

Thank you for the perfect meditation to ease into sleep and really let go of the day.
