Hello beautiful soul and welcome to today's meditation.
Thank you so much for joining me specifically for this meditation because I feel it is a necessary one.
One that needs to be shared far and wide to remind us of the impact that we have in this world.
We can feel so helpless against things that are happening externally.
There are so many things that happen outside of ourselves that we have no control over.
What we sometimes forget is that the positive impact that we can have on this world is simply by being ourselves,
By showing up in our power,
By being honest,
Truthful,
Kind and compassionate and by spreading love.
Not only does this give us a sense of purpose and help us feel like we are contributing positively to the world because we are,
But that ripple effect can be felt the world over.
And if every person on this planet took responsibility for their well-being and showed up with kindness and compassion and shared their love and their presence in a wholesome and empowering way,
I have no doubt that the world would be a much better place to live in.
And so today I would love to bring our focus to the power that we have within our personal capacity.
The power that exists simply by being ourselves.
I'd like to start just by settling into the space that you're in,
Wherever that may be.
Maybe getting rid of the last wriggles and jiggles right now as you get comfortable in your seat or if you're lying down,
Just making sure that the body feels soft and relaxed.
And if it doesn't yet,
That's okay.
By the end of the session,
I have no doubt that it will be.
We're going to start by taking a few cleansing breaths,
Taking a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And as you inhale,
I want you to feel your belly expanding outwards as if it's blowing up like a balloon.
And as you exhale,
Just feel the body soften and decompress.
And you're going to do that a few times.
And maybe on that exhale,
You can just let go of a sigh.
And on that sigh,
You can let go of anything that you're carrying with you right now.
You can let go of any tension.
You can let go of any busyness in your mind.
Just putting down anything you don't need right now and focusing on the breath.
The breath has this beautiful capacity to bring us into the present moment because it is only in the present moment that we can breathe.
And by focusing on the breath,
We bring ourselves into presence with it.
And when we're in presence,
We're simply here.
So I want you to place a hand on your belly and a hand on your heart.
And you're just going to continue breathing in a way that's rhythmic,
In a way that feels natural and unforced.
So maybe you want to switch to just breathing in and out through your nose now.
And that inhale is still expanding the belly,
Bringing in as much oxygen as you can.
And that exhale is just allowing the body to decompress and soften.
And as you're breathing like that,
Just allowing the muscles on your body to melt,
Allowing the bones of your skeleton to become heavy,
And just bringing all of your awareness to the breath and the way that it moves through your body.
And as you're breathing and just focusing on that sensation of the breath moving through the body,
Allow the words that I speak just to land ever so gently on your heart.
You don't need to think about them.
You don't need to contemplate.
Just hear them and feel them landing.
When we breathe and feel into what's going on in our bodies,
We improve our relationship with ourselves.
When we start to develop that closeness with ourselves and our intuition,
We understand our unmet needs,
Our triggers,
And where we are reacting instead of responding.
When we see ourselves so completely,
We start to take better care of ourselves.
We nurture ourselves by creating intentional lives.
We set boundaries.
We voice our pain.
We speak up when we are hurting.
We stand up for ourselves and show ourselves the deepest love possible.
When we deliberately create healthy environments for ourselves to exist in,
We can be seen and heard and accepted in our wholeness exactly as we are.
When we are in our wholeness,
We are accepting of all the parts of ourselves.
We love ourselves unconditionally.
We love the good.
We love the bad.
We love the ugly.
We love it all.
We accept it all.
And we embrace it all.
When we tap into that unconditional love for ourselves,
It helps us show up in our families with more integrity and awareness and compassion.
We model that behavior that is grounded,
Aware,
And rooted in self-love.
When we show up in our families with more compassion,
We give our family members permission to do the same,
To go out into the world beaming out love from an open heart space.
When the world feels that vibration,
It reverberates out into the ether and causes people and communities to shift,
To feel love,
To feel hope,
To feel as one.
This is our part that we play in the world.
This is our role in all the atrocities that are happening around us.
It all begins at home,
And by home,
I mean that it all begins in you.
This moment,
You in meditation,
With your hand on your heart,
Feeling your breath moving through your body,
Is the center of it all.
And everything that comes from this space that you are creating for yourself ripples your impact out into the world.
Everything that you are cultivating in this moment in your body,
In your heart,
In your essence,
Is your magic.
And your magic is necessary in this world.
It is a necessary ingredient that contributes to the upliftment and the empowerment and the creation of this magnificent and wondrous life that we all play a part in.
The world needs to feel your magic,
And it's in these moments,
In the soft silence that you spend with yourself,
That your magic starts to grow.
Taking a few more deep breaths in.
In through the nose,
Opening up the belly,
The ribcage,
And the heart space.
And just exhaling again with a sigh.
Breathing it in,
Opening up the belly,
The ribcage,
And the heart space.
And letting it all go with a sigh.
And last time,
Breathing it in,
Expanding all the way,
And letting it go with a sigh.
And just holding that sense of cultivation in your heart space,
Holding that sense of your magic reverberating outwards,
Allowing that field to grow and expand beyond you,
Beyond the room that you're in,
Beyond the building that you're in,
Out into the world where it is needed.
Never forget that your impact in this world begins at home,
And it has power beyond measure.
