Good morning and welcome to your sunrise meditation of flow.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable position either seated on a meditation pillow or a bolster or just directly on the floor.

Closing your eyes and taking a deep breath in through your nose and a slow deliberate exhale through your mouth.

Let yourself arrive fully in this moment.

The past is behind you and the future is yet to unfold.

Right now there's only this breath,

This presence and this beginning.

Take another deep breath in through the nose.

Feel the air filling your lungs and expanding your chest and exhale gently through the mouth releasing any tension.

Allow your breath to find a natural rhythm like waves rising and falling.

Each inhale draws in ease and each exhale lets go of resistance.

And now bring your awareness to the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.

Feel the support beneath you steady and unwavering experiencing a sense of safety and a sense of being held.

You are safe and you are held in this moment.

And now visualize yourself standing at the edge of a river.

The water moves gently,

Effortlessly flowing around rocks and bends and always finding its way.

This river is your life,

Sometimes calm,

Sometimes rushing but always moving forwards.

And as you watch the water flow by you feel the urge to step into the water.

Feel the coolness against your skin,

The gentle current wrapping around your legs and with each step you release the need to control.

You surrender to the natural rhythm of life allowing it to carry you rather than pushing against it.

And in this moment notice any areas of resistance within you,

Places where you feel stuck or where you've been holding on too tightly.

Maybe it's a thought,

A worry or a story you've told yourself about how things should be.

And gently place these into the river watching as the water carries them away.

They are not yours to hold any longer.

Breathe in spaciousness and breathe out resistance.

Breathe in trust and breathe out control.

Feel yourself become lighter and more fluid as you flow effortlessly with life and open to what comes next.

And as you continue floating down this river notice how the water adapts when it meets an obstacle.

It does not stop.

It moves around,

Over or through but always in motion and always finding a way.

And this is your nature too.

You are resilient.

You are adaptable and you are always moving forward even when the path is unclear.

And with each breath feel the ease of flow.

With each breath trust that life is unfolding as it should.

And as the sun rises fully into the sky so does your energy.

Feel the warmth of the sun on your body.

Feel the warmth of it expanding within you.

A quiet confidence,

A sense of ease,

A deep knowing that today will unfold exactly as it should.

And maybe set an intention for this new day.

Not something to achieve but something to embody.

Perhaps it is presence,

Patience,

Fearlessness or simply trust.

Whatever comes to you let it settle gently in your heart.

And now breathe in that intention and breathe out any doubt.

Breathe in light and energy and breathe out heaviness.

And once again breathe in your intention and breathe out fear.

Breathe in light and energy and breathe out resistance.

And feel the space you've just created.

Allow yourself to soften into it.

Nothing needs to be pushed.

Nothing needs to be fixed.

And as the sun does not rush to rise and the river does not force its path you too can trust in your own unfolding.

You are exactly where you need to be.

Feel the air on your skin and the sensation of where you are seated.

Slowly start deepening your breath and bringing your awareness back to your body.

Inviting some gentle movement into your body.

You might want to roll your wrists slowly and gently roll your head from side to side.

Start moving your toes.

And when you're ready gently and slowly open your eyes.

Greet the new day with a soft smile knowing that you are flowing effortlessly into whatever comes next.
