Welcome to today's meditation,
The Internal Conflict.
Maybe I have a problem.
This meditation will help with self-inquiry without overwhelming shame.
Take a deep breath in.
And release.
Feel the tension leaving your body.
And allow yourself just to be present in this moment.
Take another deep breath in.
And release.
And release.
Feel the tension between certainty and doubt.
Releasing from your body.
There may be some still left.
And if there is,
It's okay.
Just observe it.
Allow it to be for the moment.
Picture yourself.
You're standing at a crossroads.
One path is very familiar.
You've gone down it so many times.
The other is uncertain.
It's a path that you have not taken before.
Allow yourself just to peek down each path.
The one that's familiar and the one that is uncertain.
Take your time.
There's no rush to decide which path you're going to take today.
Simply observe the moment.
Observe how your body responds as you look down the path that you're familiar with.
And notice how your body responds when you look down the path that's unfamiliar to you.
Imagine placing a foot on each path.
What does it feel like?
The familiar path may feel comfortable.
But is it leading you where you want to go?
Now place your foot on the new path.
What possibilities exist there?
What fears arise?
What concerns surface?
Just notice.
Take it in.
You are an observer.
You are an observer.
You're not here to judge,
Only to see.
To inquire.
To be curious.
You venture out a little bit onto the new path.
How does that feel?
Do you go back to your starting point?
Do you decide to take a couple of steps on your familiar path?
Or do you keep going on your new path?
What do you decide to do?
What do you want to do?
Today,
You are invited to hold both paths in your awareness.
The act of noticing is a step forward.
Just notice.
Now take a deep breath in.
And slowly release.
Allow your breath just to wash over you gently,
Lovingly.
And take another.
And as you go throughout your day,
You're invited to hold both paths in your awareness.
What would you do?
Travel the path that is familiar?
Or the other one that is more uncertain,
But full of possibilities?
Bye-bye for now.
