After my kids left for college,
My brain was feeling kind of stuck.
I wanted to reset my life.
So I did something a little crazy.
I applied to Harvard University and shockingly,
I was accepted.
I ended up going to the graduate school for an education degree,
A master's in education.
And it was focused on learning design,
Innovation and technology because I wanted to learn about AI.
And I knew there was cross registration at MIT.
It was challenging,
But it was also ridiculous and fun being with people almost half my age.
Completely rewired my brain.
My perspective changed.
Number one,
Your brain does not stop growing.
It doesn't matter if you're 30,
40,
50.
Neuroplasticity is real and it works at every age.
Two,
Learning something genuinely hard and uncomfortable are one of the best things you can do for your brain.
And being in a completely different physical location is also an amazing reset for your brain.
And number three,
It's never too late to change or have a second life or a third life.
I left a successful radiology career to help to get sick in the first place.
And you know who needed it the most?
Me and my family.
And going back to Harvard was another part of this journey for me.
