Let go of the day and give yourself permission to relax. This short but gentle meditation that will soothe your soul, clear your mind and nurture your heart as you drift off into a peaceful night's sleep.

Transcript

Begin by lying down in your bed,

Making yourself comfortable and taking a few deep breaths.

As you exhale,

Release any tension in your body,

Allowing yourself to sink into the bed.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Visualize a peaceful scene in your mind's eye.

This could be a beach at sunset,

A forest glade,

Any other calming location that resonates with you.

As you immerse yourself in this peaceful scene,

Allow your thoughts or worries from the day to drift away.

Let them go,

Knowing that you can attend to them tomorrow.

Now focus your attention on your breath.

Notice the sensation of air moving in and out of your body and let your breath become slow and steady.

As you inhale,

Imagine that you are drawing in pure soothing energy and as you exhale,

Imagine that you are releasing any tension or stress.

Feel yourself becoming more with each breath,

Sinking deeper into the bed.

Let go of any physical tension in your body,

Allowing your muscles to completely relax.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Allow yourself to drift off into a peaceful sleep.

Know that you are safe and protected and that you will awaken in the morning feeling refreshed and energized.

Take a few more deep breaths and allow yourself to fall into a deep,

Restful sleep.

Sweet dreams.
