So for this meditation we'll just hopefully sit in a little bit more silence and have more time to Open our awareness.
Relax to the present moment.
And just allow there to be more space in between the guided instructions.
So sitting comfortably in whatever position you like,
Lying down is a really great way to practice your meditation because relaxation in the body has to be a priority in order to relax the mind as well.
And so we'll begin.
Just think about using the breath to reconnect to the body and just practice softening the body.
And it's okay to be here right now,
Just as it is,
Just as things are.
And lowering the shoulders a little bit,
Down and away from your ears.
Relaxing the space between your eyes,
Relaxing your jaw.
Taking deep belly breaths.
And honoring the transition of.
Just the focus now is to practice being aware,
Softening into the present moment.
Maybe kind of squeezing your back.
Or taking your hands and bringing them into a fist,
Bringing in a little bit of tension.
As you continue to then relax that body.
And just checking in on how the body feels right now.
What are the sensations?
I'm just getting curious in this receptive way,
Really listening,
Allowing,
And softening.
And for those of you that are newer to the practice,
Just want to encourage a more simpler awareness,
Just being aware possibly of the hands.
With the feet.
Continuing to breathe as you anchor down,
Become more present,
More grounded in this moment.
We're inviting in this possibility to awaken.
In any moment that you come back to the present.
Experience of what's currently happening in your reality,
That is an awakening in the mind.
Quietly remembering.
That the body is breathing.
And then relaxing around it.
No need to push or get anywhere.
I'm building Samadhi,
The Pali word for stability of the mind.
Having that momentum naturally occurring right now and just remembering to think about your awareness,
Just whatever you can be aware of at this time,
Kind of opening the focus And it's already building momentum as well,
That stability.
So it's really just a light touch,
Like a tapping of the swing.
It already has momentum.
Just a light tap.
Just checking to see.
If the mind is aware right now.
And whatever it's aware of is enough,
Even the simplest form of awareness.
And then just soften and continuing to relax into the practice.
Again,
Just slightly checking in.
If awareness is present.
And then rather than feeling like you're doing something wrong,
If you notice that you got distracted or.
.
.
Went off on a train of thought.
It's a continuing to allow and soften.
And then just checking in on what feels easy to be aware of.
And as we wrap up this meditation.
Just being kind of grateful and acknowledging the intention to sit and be with yourself,
Be with whatever shows up.
Honoring that time on the cushion or if you're lying down.
Wherever the couch or the bed just this intention to be with whatever shows up honoring that Thank you so much for your practice.
