You are the one person that you will spend your entire life with.

So how you treat yourself truly matters.

Today we are cultivating self-love.

Not ego,

Not arrogance,

But true,

Deep love for who you are.

So sit comfortably,

Look at yourself with soft eyes,

And let's begin.

So what I'd like you to do right now is close your eyes and imagine you're looking at yourself from the outside.

Really see yourself.

Not your flaws,

Not your mistakes.

Just you.

You are a human who's trying your best.

And you've been through some really hard things.

But you've survived.

And you're still here.

And that's worth something.

That's worth love,

Kindness,

And acceptance.

Who you are and the struggles that you've been through make you even more human than you can imagine.

Now,

What I'd like you to do is in this moment,

Accept yourself for who you are.

Accept yourself for your shortcomings.

And accept yourself for who you're not.

Now,

I want you to imagine you're writing a love letter to yourself.

What would you say in this letter?

Dear,

Your name.

I see how hard you try.

I see how much you care.

I see your heart.

Even when your heart is broken.

I'm proud of you for not giving up.

I'm proud of you for getting out of bed even on those hard days.

I'm proud of you for continuing to try every day.

You are worthy of love.

Not because of what you do.

But because of who you are.

And I love you fully,

Completely,

Exactly as you are.

And I want you to take a moment and truly feel those words.

If there's any resistance,

Just know this will pass.

Continue to look at yourself,

Accept yourself,

And love yourself for who you are.

Let those words truly sink in.

You do not have to be perfect to love yourself.

You do not have to be perfect to deserve love.

As a matter of fact,

Unconditional love never has demands,

Expectations,

Or qualifications.

Now,

I want you to make a commitment to yourself.

I want you to repeat after me.

I will speak to myself with kindness.

I will honor my needs.

I will celebrate my wins.

I will forgive my mistakes.

I will love myself through it all.

You are your own best friend.

You've got you.

Now take a final deep breath.

And carry this love with you.

I ask that you return to this meditation whenever you're feeling loss of love or that you can't accept and love yourself.

Sometimes it takes us a couple tries to really instill that love and acceptance for ourselves.

But you deserve to be loved.
