Hello my friend,

Welcome to tonight's meditation.

My name is Samantha,

Also known as the Blissful Soul.

Tonight I'm going to guide you into a restful sleep by taking you on a relaxing car ride where you are the passenger through a beautiful countryside.

So find a comfortable position now and make sure that you are not disturbed so that you can get a peaceful night sleep.

Get as comfortable as you can and at any time along the way you need to reposition yourself to get into a more pleasant sleep.

Feel free to do so.

Begin to let all the tension that has built up throughout the day start to fade away.

Any worries you have accumulated,

Just let them lose their power and intensity as you begin to settle down for the night.

Begin to feel cozy and allow your breath to begin to slow down with each breath that you take.

Take a nice full breath in and then slowly exhale.

Let in your breath,

Return to normal now.

And just observe your mind and how it is thinking of any various things about your life and the day.

Observe how perhaps visions of moments are flashing in your mind or maybe how they're making you feel.

Perhaps you're feeling tension or sounds with your thoughts as they present them in your mind.

Letting images from your life just start to fade away.

Now bring into your imagination that you are your childhood self.

You begin to walk towards this car.

You've had a fun day filled with excitement with either friends or family and you're about to head home after an exhausting but fun-filled day.

This car is parked near the countryside and it's going to be a long journey home.

And although your day was full of fun,

You're exhausted and your eyes are dreary.

The car is in the middle of nowhere and the countryside extends into the horizon.

Your childhood self crawls into the back of the car.

You close the door and you rest your head against the door after it closes.

You see everybody getting ready and get it into their seats and then the car begins to take off.

You hear the engine of the car and the wheels turning as it hits the ground.

The car has never felt so comfortable as you are just exhausted from this fun-filled day.

You are positioned in a way that you are gazing out the window and into nature.

As you sit back,

You begin to notice all the details.

The weather is perfectly mild and soothing.

The window is cracked just a little and you can smell the fresh countryside breeze.

You just notice everything as vividly as you can.

You can feel the slight vibrations as the car continues to move.

You can hear its engine just hissing as if it's powering up the hills and carrying everyone in the car.

You can hear the sound of another car coming over the hill from the other direction.

You see the bright lights coming over the hillside facing you.

In some way,

They give you peace and comfort.

Knowing others are joining you on this journey.

As the car continues to move very slowly around the curvy roads,

You take a deep breath of relief because you know you are in for a very long but relaxing ride.

The vibrations under you get stronger because you have hit a smooth and straight road.

And it starts increasing in speed.

And then you can start hearing relaxing sounds of the wheels turning along the smooth pavement.

You hear a small honk as another car passes by,

Giving a little hello by the other car.

And then it faints into the distance until you can no longer see them.

The vibrations under you are still strong and yet soothing.

They even out into a relaxing hum as the car has reached a safe and steady speed for this long journey.

As you continue to gaze outside,

There's still a little light,

But it will be sunset very soon.

It's the most beautiful views you think you have ever seen.

You see the ground so close,

And it's passing by so very quickly.

The trees nearby seem to be passing a little slower,

And in the distance,

Some rolling mountains are moving by ever so slowly as you enjoy this ride.

You look at a nature,

And you're just really enjoying its beauty.

You smile as you feel so lucky for this view,

For the safety,

For everything that you have.

You feel so comfortable and so happy.

You know there is nowhere else you need to be but here right now.

The sun is beginning to meet the horizon,

Setting behind a soft,

Rolling mountain range in the distance.

The colors that this sunset begins to create for you are just breathtaking.

The pinks and yellows of the sky fade into the bright blue,

Then into the deep blue of the night sky in Chinin.

The gentle mountain range gives off hues of greens and blues and grays.

The sundown is reflecting colors of purples mixed with oranges now as it dips below the mountains.

Meadows of warm golden colors are passing by the car,

And every now and then,

An old giant oak tree passes you by,

Standing proudly in the sprawling fields of gold.

This view is memorizing.

You are not thinking about anything other than this beauty you are witnessing.

You are just getting more and more relaxed and feeling grateful for these beautiful moments in the twilight,

In the backseat of the sleepy car that you're in.

You are very comfortable and just ready for a restful night's sleep.

The aura of the sun is slowly fading away.

And the night sky is chasing away the sunset.

Your eyes are becoming heavy with sleep as you watch the day turn into darkness.

The wide meadows have passed by your car and is now entering a forest.

The weather cools just a bit,

And through that crack in the window,

You can smell the trees as they close in around the car.

Dark has settled,

And there is a crisp moonlight peeking through the trees as they pass by.

The hum of the engine that the car brings is very soothing to you,

Just making you even more sleepy.

Your eyes are closed now,

And occasionally though,

You open them for just a moment to gaze around at the view of nature as it's so beautiful you don't want to miss anything.

But you're so sleepy that you cannot keep your eyes open for another moment.

Now you hear yourself saying as you drift and float on this dreamy car ride,

Sleep comes,

And it restores me.

Sleep comes,

And it heals me.

Nighttime is my time to fully rest and rejuvenate.

A restful night's sleep is approaching,

And I'm just along for the ride.

I have done all that I need to do today.

Right now,

I don't have anything to do but sleep.

I breathe peacefully and easily,

Relaxing my mind and body.

Sleep comes over me naturally and willingly.

As I become more relaxed and sleepy,

This gives my body the time to heal.

I know how good this is for me right now.

Deep and restful sleep is possible every night when I let go of worries and stress.

My breath is steady and slow,

Carrying me into a long night's sleep.

As I become sleepier and sleepier,

My brain slows,

Yet my creativity increases.

This creative state is void of any of my worries or fears.

It is completely open to showing me how to achieve my goals and attain my desires.

I am grateful for my day that was well-lived,

And now it has become night.

Through sleeping and dreaming,

I accomplish great advances in my psyche,

Which extend into my waken life.

Now is my time to dream.

I embrace rest as one of nature's healing medicines.

My body feels very calm and heavy.

My muscles are completely relaxed,

And any remaining tensions completely fade.

My mind is quiet and clear.

I enjoy waking up refreshed and rejuvenated after a marvelous sleep.

I sleep well each and every night.

Nothing can disturb me when I sleep.

The more rest I get,

The more excellent tomorrow I will be.

I thank my body for allowing this time of rest and relaxation.

I thank my mind for letting go of worries and stress.

I thank my mind for letting go of worries and opening to resourcefulness through dreaming.

No matter how much of my dreams I remember,

I know they are constructive and offer a space for my imagination to flourish.

Dreaming and sleeping allow for great vision to take place in my mind.

I release all my thoughts from the day.

I release any tension I accumulated from the day.

I awaken refreshed and happy when I have gotten the perfect amount of sleep that I need.

I am grateful for my beautiful pillow that supports me.

I am calm and full of peace.

Falling asleep is effortless for me.

I know that the words I say,

The things I think,

Come into action.

I say with confidence each day that I sleep easily and restfully.

Each night when I lay down on my soft pillow,

I am greeted by sleep and I welcome this sensation.

I sleep so soundly that my body and mind are completely refreshed and ready to accomplish anything.

I look forward to going to bed knowing it will be quiet and relaxing.

I look forward to doing all the little things I like to do to prepare for getting in the bed.

I turn off all the lights before getting in bed because darkness releases melatonin in my body,

Aiding in the perfect rejuvenation.

Falling asleep happens quickly without any effort.

Now,

If you haven't already,

I encourage you to continue to just drift and float,

Not thinking about anything in particular.

Just let things come and go as things always do.

Sleep is encompassing you now.

As the car continues taking you along for the ride and into a new and beautiful destination when you rise.

So enjoy this time and allow my voice to just completely fade away just as the sleepy car rolls along through the wilderness.

Thank you,

My friend,

For joining me as a passenger on this journey.

Thank you for being here along this ride through the countryside as you fade into sleep,

Become rejuvenated when you awake.

Sleep well,

My friend.
