Hi,

This is Theresa Conte.

Welcome to Day 2 of 30 Days of Gratitude to Inspire and Uplift You.

Today I'd like to share a quote by Albert Schweitzer.

He says,

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person.

Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.

And now,

A thought to ponder.

Our friends,

Loved ones,

And even perfect strangers have the ability to remind us we are loved,

Cared for,

And cherished by a simple act of kindness.

Think of a time you felt a sense of appreciation in response to someone's kindness.

It could have come from a dear friend,

A family member,

Or even from an employee at a supermarket's checkout counter.

As you play the scene over in your mind's eye,

Notice how you feel.

Perhaps there's a sense of open-heartedness,

A feeling of peace and contentment,

Or a change in the rhythm of your breathing.

When we give without expectation,

We are not only channels of kindness for others,

But our own sense of happiness expands.

Today,

Let your flame burn bright.

A smile,

A thoughtful word,

Or a phone call to someone you've been thinking about are just a few ideas that can rekindle the spark within them and increase your happiness and well-being.

Wishing you a most wonderful day.
