Transcript

Hello and welcome to our community meditation space.

My name is Viviane Girard and it is my delight to be guiding us in a meditation for the new moon in Libra.

As we close our eyes and settle into this time together,

I invite you to visualize a living room with each one of us having a seat,

Coming into circle space and sitting side by side,

Tuning into how the astrology is guiding the collective humanity at this time and allowing meditation to be the bridge so that we can see and understand how this impacts each one of us individually.

Picture yourself seated,

Feet firmly planted on the ground and begin with inviting all of your awareness,

Your attention,

To come fully into you.

When the world is loud and busy,

It is very easy to have our attention dispersed,

To be tracking whatever it is we feel needs to be tracked outside of ourselves.

This time of meditation is an invitation to be fully present here inside of you.

One of the ways to do that is to imagine you're a big ball of wool and there are threads in many many places keeping you attached.

What if you start to unravel from all of those places or people or activities just for this time of meditation and call all of those threads of you back into you here right now.

It may feel intense as you bring this much of your power,

Your attention,

Fully here.

So use your breath to guide your energy down through your body all the way down to your feet.

Relaxing your muscles as you do that,

Stretching out your physical body so that you create more space inside of you.

You're not hunched over,

You're open,

Wide,

Shoulders back,

Allowing your consciousness to come back into you all the way down through you to your feet.

As you do that,

It may feel more full inside.

You may feel more pressure or more density.

It's a sign of you being more present.

So invite more of your consciousness to come back to you.

As that happens,

Perhaps the places that you have had your attention flash into your awareness.

So a project,

A person,

An energy that is happening in the collective,

A conversation.

You might notice all of these things.

Just allow the awareness to move through and bring your consciousness down into you all the way down through your body to your feet.

I believe becoming present happens in waves.

We feel our attention becoming more present here in this moment.

We settle,

Relax our muscles,

Calibrate to feeling more full,

More filled up.

And then we invite another wave of our own energy to come back to us all the way down through the body to the feet.

If you feel emotions as this happens,

That's okay.

Allow the emotions to wash through,

Relax your muscles.

And let your body truly relax to be in a place of safety where you are calling your attention here so that you can understand more about yourself,

So that you can feel what is happening inside of your body.

Invite your body to relax and allow the process to be gentle and easy.

We are not forcing ourselves to be present.

We are inviting.

Inviting feels warm,

Comfortable,

Safe.

You might find you're smiling or your muscles are relaxing more as you tune into the feeling of inviting yourself to be present.

There's no expectation except the one that you put on yourself.

And so perhaps you leave the expectation to the side.

And notice what is happening inside of your body.

When we slow down and listen to what is happening inside of ourselves,

Our body speaks to us.

So you may find there's an area in your body that is calling your attention.

Go to that place inside of you and be curious.

Why is your attention being pulled to this part of your body first?

What do you need to know about what that body part represents?

For example,

If it's your back,

Our back represents the support,

The amount of structure that we have in our lives,

The safety that that structure brings.

Our back holds guilt.

It's where we work through our relationship with money,

With receiving.

Notice what comes up as I name all of that.

Your attention may have gone down through your legs all the way to your feet.

And perhaps you notice a tightness in your legs or a stuck feeling in your feet.

We have been moving so quickly and powerfully through the astrology this year that our feet may feel planted for now,

Stuck,

Locked into one moment,

One belief,

One project.

What if you could wiggle your feet,

Relax your legs,

And allow yourself to just be aware that you are a soul choosing a human experience and this is one moment in the journey.

While this is a powerful year,

It's also just one year in a lifelong journey.

So perhaps as you wiggle your feet,

You can take off some of the tension,

The pressure,

The expectation.

We hold ourselves to such high,

Big standards at times,

Or maybe always.

What if in this moment you just allow yourself to be the soul having the human experience and maybe your feet become curious instead of pressured or filled with obligation or responsibility.

Maybe your feet relax,

They relax,

They loosen their grip.

Notice as you do that how your body can relax from that message at your feet to relax.

At the same time,

We can allow our feet to work with the energy of the earth and release heavy emotions,

Beliefs,

Weight.

We can release that from our feet into the earth and just allow the energy to leave our body and dissolve into the ground underneath us.

So for example,

If you have been carrying guilt or shame or disappointment and in this meditation you can feel your awareness of those emotions,

Your awareness is the teaching.

You can explore the emotions more.

You can also be aware that you feel them and then just release them,

Move them,

Allowing the energy to simply move into the earth and be transmuted.

Our life will continue to show us the lessons we are here to learn.

And so if guilt or shame or disappointment are themes that you are working on,

A version of it that will continue teaching will show up as you need it.

In meditation what you can practice is moving the energy,

Moving the emotion instead of holding it in your body,

Becoming aware,

Feeling it,

And then allowing it to move out of you and into the earth.

It's very much like flushing the toilet.

You hand the waste over to the earth,

It will be transmuted,

Recycled.

And then you will eat more food,

Drink more water,

Your body will take what it needs and the waste will leave your body.

And you flush the toilet,

It's the same process with emotions,

With energy.

It is constantly in flow.

Unless you choose to hold it in your body and then it can become toxic,

Just like human waste can become toxic in the body.

So you choose to hand over to the earth,

Through your feet,

Whatever is ready to be released right now.

You might notice that your body feels weighted or pulled down,

Hunched over perhaps at your shoulders.

When we are releasing a lot that we have been holding inside for a while,

Our body can feel that pull of energy moving through our feet and into the earth.

So you allow it to release and then straighten your back again,

Open your shoulders up,

Lift your chin,

Allow yourself to stretch your physical body a little wider and feel the spaciousness inside of your body when you hand over the waste that no longer serves you.

Relax the muscles of your body.

And then just rest for a moment,

Calibrate.

Here you are,

The soul having the human experience.

And your mind may be asking,

Why is all of this in this meditation process about the new moon in Libra?

And so for your mind,

I bring some answers.

A new moon is a time of beginnings,

Fresh starts.

This new moon is amplified with a square with Pluto and Jupiter.

What that means is amplified,

Jupiter,

Truth,

Pluto,

Expansion,

Jupiter,

Of integrity,

Pluto.

Allow those words,

Those frequencies to move through your body.

Libra is the sign of balance,

Harmony,

Beauty,

Relationship,

Truth,

Law.

Jupiter and Pluto amplify the power of this new moon.

We can continue doing what we have been doing.

If it is creating toxicity in our bodies,

If we are not moving the emotions,

The energy through and out,

And we are spinning in what no longer serves us,

It keeps us stuck.

It is not harmonious or beautiful.

It is not balanced.

Meditation provides this opportunity to harmonize the mind,

The body,

And the soul.

So we focus on what the body needs.

We allow our mind to help move the emotions,

The energy,

Out of our body and into the earth that no longer serve.

And from that aligned harmony,

The soul can begin to clarify,

To guide,

To show us,

To help us in setting new intentions.

Because the mind,

The body,

The soul are communicating more clearly.

So relax your muscles.

To add more astrology support context for the mind,

There is a beautiful dash of magic coming in to the universe right now.

One of the astrologers that I follow is describing how six comets are doing a flyby of earth on the exact day of this new moon in Libra.

Six comets.

It's like a sprinkle of stardust around the earth on a new moon in Libra that is all about beauty and balance and harmony.

And one more layer for the mind to weave in so that the body can feel the resonance.

All of the outer planets that have been going back and forth into new signs and retrograding this whole year.

On the new moon,

Exactly.

Neptune is at zero degrees,

Zero minutes of Aries.

Exactly.

The astrologer I follow describes it as pure potential.

Potentiality.

On a new moon where we set intentions.

Another astrologer I follow describes it as the magic wand that the universe has handed us to rewrite the details before the new era begins.

Notice what happens in your body as all of these words,

These images,

These frequencies move through your body.

Allow them to expand inside of you.

It is easy to start to feel the magic and then pull back,

Resist,

Try to hold within ourselves what we know,

What feels comfortable,

And my invitation is to relax.

Allow the magic to expand.

You have the magic wand.

Wave the magic wand around your body in your visualization,

In your imagery.

You have the magic wand.

Sprinkle magic stardust all over your body and allow this potentiality to expand from inside you.

No one is giving you permission to do this.

You choose.

The universe provides all of the elements,

All of the planets,

The astral bodies.

Everything is in place to support you.

The astrologers translate for us.

They give us the words of magic wand and pure potentiality.

But you are the one sitting in meditation.

You are the one who decides to actually allow the magic to be expanded,

To be amplified.

You choose to clear the toxicity out of your body and play with harmony and beauty and balance and truth and integrity and magic wands.

You.

Relaxing your muscles.

Feet firmly planted on the earth.

This is not an out-of-body experience.

This is an in-your-own-body lived experience.

Feet on the ground.

Allow yourself to root in with the earth.

So just grow roots,

Deep and wide,

Energetic roots that travel miles down into the surface of the earth and ground you here.

You are a soul having a human experience in your body on this planet.

You are here now.

Opening your shoulders a little bit wider.

Allowing your heart to soften,

To laugh,

To dance with the magic that you are creating.

And from this grounded space inside of you,

Perhaps set an intention.

If you don't feel ready yet,

You can come back and listen to this again until you do feel ready to set an intention.

Or finish the meditation and then journal until the intention becomes clear.

If this moment feels true and you are ready,

Set the intention from inside you,

From deep in your heart to your soul.

This is a field of pure potentiality.

What intentions do you claim for yourself over this next lunar cycle?

New moon in Libra now,

Carrying us through until the new moon in Scorpio in a month.

What is your intention?

Allow it to be as specific as you feel called or as general,

Broad as you feel inspired.

There's no right or wrong way.

There's your way of setting an intention.

Imagine you can pick up your magic wand and you can write your intention into the sky.

You can see it perhaps as a night sky with stars everywhere.

No moon,

You can't see the moon,

But all these stars.

And you have your magic wand and you write your intention into the sky filled with stars.

Be dramatic,

Be big,

Be bold as you write it.

Add exclamation marks,

Draw hearts,

Whatever feels true to you.

Let it be playful and fun and beautiful.

Libra,

Express your beauty in whatever imaginative ways feel true to you.

And then when your intention feels complete,

You can put your magic wand back on your lap or down on your desk on the side of you,

In your journal,

Wherever you feel you want to keep it.

And with your eyes still closed,

Look at the sky.

Imagine you can see your intention written.

Bright lights,

You might want to add some razzle dazzle or bejewel it to whatever feels true to you.

See your intention.

Relax the muscles of your body.

Feel the connection between you here,

Grounded,

Feet planted on the earth and this bold,

Beautiful intention in the stars.

Both are true.

And you are here,

A human.

Your journey is about embodying,

Bringing the stars to earth,

Taking the intentions,

The dreams,

And manifesting them.

The manifestation happens here,

In the physical,

On the earth.

So,

Detach from the intention.

Allow the stars to carry it,

To do what needs to be done so that it can return to you here on earth.

Relax and allow it to separate the intention off on its own,

You here in your body,

Feet planted on the earth.

Yes,

Good work,

Good work.

And notice what's happening in your body.

If there's a lot of emotion,

Anything that's ready to go,

You run it down to your feet,

Hand it over to the earth.

Relaxing your muscles again and allowing yourself to be happy,

Content to be here.

You are the soul in the human form.

Choosing the human reality,

Living the human day-to-day existence.

This is the magic in human form.

Allow yourself to marvel at this life that you are living.

What an incredible gift.

There are endless numbers of souls waiting in line for an opportunity to come be in a body,

And you're here.

New Moon in Libra Square,

Pluto and Jupiter is reminding you just how lucky you are,

We are.

To be the ones having this human reality.

So let go of any heaviness,

Any doubt,

Any fear.

Run it to your feet and hand it over to the earth.

Straighten your spine,

Open your shoulder blades,

Which opens your heart.

Lift up your chin.

Maybe allow yourself to just laugh at the absurdity of being in a human body,

Just how silly it all can be,

And also how beautiful,

How incredibly beautiful.

As you feel ready,

I want you to open your eyes,

But just look at one thing in front of you.

So I am looking at a stone I'm holding in my right hand,

And I'm just wiggling my fingers around.

Allow yourself to take in more of the space around you,

And harmonize the inner and the outer landscape.

What is seen and experienced in meditation is just as true and as real as all that we experience in our physical reality.

So allow the two to blend.

And then,

As you feel ready and move from your meditation time,

I encourage you to drink a big glass of water,

To journal,

Reflect on what came through,

And to stay in alignment with the intention that you set for yourself.

The stars are working their magic,

And you are the one here taking action steps towards that intention.
