Hello and welcome to this meditation on starting a new chapter.
I am your teacher and friend,
Brittany,
And I am so proud of you for creating this time and space for yourself.
Let's go ahead and get present into this moment.
Sit down or lie down or stand,
Whatever feels best for you in this moment.
Let's do a quick body scan.
Close your eyes if that feels best.
Let's focus on the head,
The top of our crown,
Our eyes,
Our nose,
Our mouth.
Let's check to see if we are relaxed or alert,
If we are restful or restless.
Is there any tension in our neck or our shoulders,
Our upper back,
Our torso,
Our lower back,
Our shoulders?
Draw your attention to your arms,
Your wrists,
Your hands.
Bring attention to your hips,
Your lower back,
Your pelvic area,
Your upper thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves,
Your ankles,
And your feet.
Feel the energy flow from the top of your head out through your feet.
This light source that travels throughout your body,
Sending it energy.
What energy are you channeling for this meditation?
What is your intention?
Let's take a deep inhale through the nose into the belly,
And then exhale out the mouth with a loud sigh.
Let's do that again.
A big inhale through the nose,
Filling the chest and stomach,
And then out through the mouth with a loud sigh.
You have arrived.
In choosing this meditation,
You are choosing to release something from the season and chapter of your life that you were once in,
And you are ready to embrace a brand new start.
These type of changes and transitions within our life can bring up a lot of mixed feelings.
Maybe some fear to let go of the old and to bring in the new.
Maybe a restlessness of feeling antsy or overstimulated,
Bringing anxiety being too many steps ahead or into the future.
Maybe some depression or some feelings of not good enough as we move on from something that was familiar to us and go into something that is the unknown.
So first,
Let's channel this previous chapter.
What is this experience that you are now ready to let go of?
Was it a relationship?
Was it a job?
Was it a hobby?
What is this thing that has served its purpose and now it is time to let go?
I would like to take this moment to think about all the benefits from this past chapter.
What did it bring you?
What did it teach you?
About this area of your life and yourself?
Maybe about other people?
What are the gifts and what was the purpose of this chapter?
Sometimes,
That is teaching us what we do want and also what we don't want.
What are you grateful for from this previous experience in your life?
Give it thanks.
Thank this season for all that it brought into your life and taught you about yourself.
And now feel the feelings and letting it go.
What are these feelings?
Are they peace?
Are they excitement?
Are they sadness?
Are they anxiety?
Fear?
Doubt?
Worry?
Fully feel these feelings.
Look at them,
Identify them,
Name them.
Channel them into this space.
And as you feel all of these feelings,
Give yourself love.
Maybe rub your arms,
Give yourself a hug.
Take a deep breath.
Breathe through this experience.
Maybe rock yourself.
Be the love and comfort through this transition that you need.
Be your biggest support.
And now let's affirm to ourselves,
I am ready to release this previous season of my life.
I am ready to take everything that I've learned from this chapter into my next.
I am ready for a bigger and fuller season.
I am prepared for what is all to come.
Now as we look into this next chapter that we are about to embark on,
Why are we here?
Why are we releasing the last chapter and walking into this new one?
Why have we made this decision?
If it was a forced transition,
Maybe we can be open and willing to what we are supposed to learn,
What we are supposed to overcome.
If we chose this transition and maybe it's a little hard or scary,
Let's give ourselves credit for doing something different to get a different result in our life.
Thank yourself for believing in yourself that you can do new things and believe in the evolution of your life that is ahead.
Affirm to yourself that you believe in all of the good things that are to come,
That this new chapter is going to be amazing,
And that you are going to do everything that you need to do to make this chapter everything that you hope it will be.
Now let's take a moment to manifest,
Let's envision this new chapter.
What are the things that you hope to accomplish?
What intentions do you want to set?
In what ways do you believe in yourself moving forward?
What does this new chapter of your life feel like?
Is it fulfilling and rewarding?
Is it beneficial and beautiful?
What feelings are being provoked?
Is it gratitude?
Is it worthiness?
Is it achievements and success?
Look into this chapter and think of all of the beauty that it is going to bring into your life and that this is going to be a very valuable transition that you will remember and thank for the rest of your life.
Remember that all chapters are brought into our lives to teach us something,
To bring us to a new area of reflection.
To make our relationship with ourselves and our life more whole,
More complete,
And more beautiful.
That every chapter that we experience leads into the next,
And that it is exactly where we are supposed to be.
Have faith and have trust in the presence of this moment,
Of this change.
Believe that change is good and that you are capable.
Let's take a deep inhale through the nose into the belly and exhale out the mouth.
Another full inhale,
Filling the body,
Bringing it peace and energy,
And exhale through the mouth.
You are committed to yourself by showing up here today,
And this is such an act of self-love.
