Good morning sunshine!
I'm Abbey and welcome to your morning gratitude meditation practice.
Find yourself in a comfortable seated position using any props that you like.
You can close the eyes or softly look down about two feet in front of you.
Place your left hand over your heart and your right hand over your left,
Connecting with your heart center.
Take a moment here to give thanks to yourself.
Thank yourself for getting out of bed this morning,
For engaging in your meditation practice,
And putting forth the effort to start your day from a place of gratitude.
Bring your hands to rest atop your thighs,
Palms facing up,
Signifying that you are open and willing to receive all that is in store for you today.
Start to become aware of your breath.
Just notice what it feels like in this present moment.
There's no need to try and change anything about it.
Just allow yourself to fully experience breathing in this very particular moment.
Imagine now that the air you're breathing is a sweet nectar,
A nectar that fully satisfies all your needs and desires.
You know nothing but this air.
It's the best air you've breathed in your life.
You savor every sweet breath in and each breath out.
The air tastes good.
The air is full and expansive.
It makes you feel good to breathe.
This air,
This beautiful,
Wonderful,
Sweet air.
It's your life.
Your life is sweet and worth savoring.
It is fulfilling and satisfactory.
Your life is like no other.
Think about the reality that you even woke up today.
Waking up is never guaranteed.
This opportunity you've been given to see another day is a gift.
A gift that wasn't given to everyone.
Allow yourself to feel grateful for another chance to experience.
Another chance to know what it means to be alive.
Being grateful doesn't mean always feeling pleasant about experience.
It means recognizing the value in any experience,
No matter what it feels like,
And appreciating it for what it is.
With your awareness at your heart space,
Allow these feelings of gratitude for life,
Breath,
And experience to permeate throughout your entire body.
Send this gratitude to every cell,
Every muscle,
Bone,
Tendon,
Ligament,
Organ.
Imagine your body just exudes gratefulness.
Whatever color resonates with you when you hear me say the word grateful,
Imagine that color is shining from your body.
You are glowing head to toe in the pure essence of gratitude.
You are glowing head to toe in the pure essence of gratitude.
Bring to your consciousness a recent experience that brought you a great amount of joy.
Something that is very easy for you to feel grateful for.
Hold this experience in love and appreciation and recognize what it gave to you.
Now hold in your awareness an experience that when it initially occurred,
You interpreted as bad,
But later realized it actually benefited you.
Send this experience a loving appreciation.
Lastly,
Bring to mind a challenging situation you are currently experiencing.
Recognize the difficult emotions or thoughts you have toward this situation and feel grateful for them.
Send them your love and appreciation.
Feel grateful for the full spectrum of all that you get to experience in this life.
Begin to bring your awareness back into the physical body.
Feeling grateful for every part of your body and all that it allows you to do.
Feel grateful for your eyes,
Your ears,
Your nose and mouth,
Your teeth,
Your throat.
Feel grateful for your hair,
If you have any.
Feel grateful for your arms and legs,
Your hands and feet,
Your toes and fingers,
For your bones and muscles.
Feel grateful for every organ,
Your heart,
Lungs and brain that effortlessly keep you going in this life.
Feel grateful for this vessel you possess to express.
Take a deep breath in and just sigh it all out.
Let it go.
Bring your hands to Anjali Mudra,
Prayer position at the heart,
Your chin slightly bowed.
I welcome you at this time to offer this day ahead to whatever divine power you believe in,
Or to some sort of greater good.
To surrender to whatever is in store for you today,
And to serve with a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Whenever you feel ready,
Flutter your eyes open and start to take in your surroundings.
I truly wish you the best in all you set out to do today.
I am sending my love and my blessings to you.
Thank you so much for listening and have a spectacular day.
