This beautiful 30-minute guided meditation will take you into a very deep state of relaxation. It’s perfect to listen to before bed, after a long day or week at work, or any time you feel the need to relax.

Transcript

I would like you to begin now by closing your eyes.

Very good.

Now take a deep breath in and very slowly let it out.

And another deep breath in and slowly let it out.

Good.

Now one more deep,

Deep breath and hold it for just a moment.

And then let it out.

Relax your mind.

Relax your body.

Just relax.

Now I would like you to imagine that you have complete control over all of the muscle groups in your body.

And starting with the very top of your head,

I would like you to begin to relax those muscles.

Begin to relax the scalp now.

Feel the relaxation moving down and down into your forehead.

Feel the muscles in your forehead relax and let go.

Feel that relaxation move down into your eyes.

And notice how heavy your eyelids have become.

Notice how comfortably heavy you begin to feel.

Just continue to drift down now.

Notice that relaxation moving down into your cheeks now.

Feel the muscles sag and let go.

Feel it moving down into your lips.

Notice how relaxed your lips have become.

Notice how your jaw is slightly parted now,

Not clenched at all.

Just feeling yourself going down.

Feel your chin sink.

Feel it sink all the way down now.

And now feel your jaw drop and relax.

Very good.

Just feel your whole head and face relax now.

Now feel the relaxation move down into your neck.

Relaxing the front part of your neck and the back part of your neck.

Feel that relaxation move down into your shoulders now.

Feel your shoulders sinking toward the ground.

You almost feel as though a warm blanket of relaxation has been placed upon your neck and shoulders.

And everywhere it touches becomes instantly relaxed.

Feel that relaxation now.

Feel all of the tension leaving your body now.

And notice how the relaxation has moved into your arms now.

Relaxing the biceps,

Relaxing the elbows,

And relaxing the forearms now.

Feel your arms becoming heavy and loose.

Your hands relax now.

And finally,

Your fingers relax.

Feeling so warm and so comfortable now.

Feel that relaxation moving into your chest now.

Notice how comfortable your breathing has become.

Notice how good it feels to take deep and cleansing breaths.

Feel yourself relax even more now.

You almost feel as though you're breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension.

That's right.

Breathing in relaxation.

Breathing out tension.

Feeling so good and feeling so relaxed.

Going deeper now,

You feel that relaxation move into your stomach.

Your stomach muscles relax.

You let go of all tension now.

Feel the relaxation increase with each word I say.

The relaxation moves into your back now.

You notice it starting at the top of your back and moving down one muscle at a time.

All the way down your back.

The upper back relaxes.

The middle of your back feels so good and so relaxed.

Your lower back loses all tension now.

Relaxing completely now.

Feeling so good.

The relaxation moves into your legs now.

Relaxing the muscles in your thighs.

Your legs begin to feel heavy.

Your knees relax now.

Feeling so heavy.

Your calf muscles relax.

Moving down to your ankles.

Allowing that relaxation to move through you.

Your feet are relaxing now.

Feeling good as the relaxation gently moves into your toes.

Your whole body is now relaxed from the top of your head down to the tip of your toes.

Continue to sink deeper and deeper.

With each word I say.

Going down comfortably down now.

You feel yourself going deeper and deeper with each word I say.

In fact,

With every breath you take you feel yourself relaxing even more now.

Now in just a moment you will have the wonderful opportunity to deepen your relaxation even more.

In just a moment I am going to ask you to imagine certain things.

And it doesn't matter if you can imagine them or not.

Just pretend you can and the same purpose is served.

And as you imagine your mind and body relax even more.

Going deeper now.

I would like you to imagine you are in a meadow lying on your back and looking up at the sky.

You lazily notice the clouds as they softly float along above you.

You feel a deep sense of peace in this place.

You are comfortable.

You are relaxed.

You feel so good in this place.

As you continue to feel more and more relaxed.

As you gaze up at the sky a small bit of movement catches your eye above you.

You notice you are looking at a beautiful butterfly.

This butterfly is slowly,

Slowly,

Ever so slowly descending toward you.

And you know somehow by instinct that the closer the butterfly gets to you the deeper you go into relaxation.

In fact should that butterfly touch you ever so softly you will immediately let go completely.

The butterfly is slowly moving toward you.

And with each number I say that butterfly gets closer and closer.

And the closer it gets the better you feel.

The better you feel the deeper you go into a relaxed hypnotic state.

Ten watching as it lazily drifts closer and closer.

Nine feeling good and relaxed.

Eight feel the warm breeze as you watch the butterfly drift down further and further closer and closer.

Seven going deeper as the butterfly draws closer.

Six feeling so good now.

Five noticing how close the butterfly has become.

Your mind and your body have become so completely relaxed.

Four.

Three.

As the butterfly draws closer your mind lets go and relaxes completely.

Two relaxing even more.

One.

The butterfly lands softly on your finger.

And as soon as you feel that butterfly settle down on your finger your body immediately sinks into a deeply relaxed state.

Feeling so good and so relaxed now.

Now gently rest here in this peace for a little while.

And repeat with the two slides.
