Hello and good morning.
Welcome to this short morning meditation to ground and feel gratitude.
Wherever you happen to be,
Gently close your eyes and turn your attention inward.
Feel your feet wherever they make contact with the ground or bed or couch or chair.
And gently begin to relax,
Feeling fully supported by the ground beneath you.
Begin to relax your legs,
Your hips,
Gently softening and feeling fully supported by your seat.
Feel your belly soft,
Your chest,
Your heart space soft,
Open to receive this brand new day.
Relaxing through the fingertips,
Letting the arms hang heavy,
Shoulders gently softening away from the ears,
The neck effortlessly holding the head,
And finding some softness and ease through the jaw.
The cheekbones,
The eyelids,
And the forehead.
And as we begin this new day,
Start to bring into your awareness one word,
One intention.
How do you want to be in this new day?
Joyful,
Present,
Calm,
Vibrant,
Peaceful.
As you begin to feel your breath effortlessly flowing in and out through the body,
Feeling that gentle billowing of the belly and chest and the gentle softening on the exhale,
Begin to just above a whisper or quietly to yourself,
Say this mantra,
Breathing in,
I am here,
Breathing out,
I am and your word,
Your phrase,
Your intention for this brand new day.
Breathing in,
I am here,
Breathing out,
I am and your word.
And as thoughts begin to peek their way into your awareness,
Just acknowledge with compassion and be more interested in that mantra as it rides the breath.
Breathing in,
I am here,
Breathing out,
I am.
Acknowledging that you have the power to decide how you want to be today.
Allowing this energy to fill you up,
To radiate from the inside out.
Perhaps even a small,
Slight smile begins to show itself on your face as the corners of your mouth turn towards your eyes,
Saying thank you to your body,
To your mind for showing up for you today.
Beginning to deepen your breath,
Clutter your eyes open,
Come back to your space and have a gorgeous day.
