Welcome to your Fearless Heart Meditation.
As you arrive in a reclined posture,
Take a moment to truly soften.
Close the eyes,
Relaxing the jaw and the shoulders,
And extend your arms out wide to the sides.
Like really take up space here,
Unapologetically.
And as you do so,
Flip the palms open toward the sky as your act of reception.
I am here to receive exactly what I'm meant to receive,
And I trust that with my entire heart,
With all that I am.
Allow yourself to surrender completely into whatever is supporting you.
And now kindly draw your awareness inward to the breath.
Simply feel your body breathe.
And as you're breathing,
Begin to deepen the inhales and lengthen the exhales,
Slowing the breath down.
Now soften the lowest part of your belly,
And take a deep inhale,
Filling up the belly.
Fill up the ribs,
The chest.
Hold the breath in,
And exhale,
Release the chest,
The ribs,
The belly,
And let it go.
Inhale,
Belly,
Ribs,
Chest,
Hold.
Exhale,
Chest,
Ribs,
Belly,
Release.
Inhale,
Belly,
Ribs,
Chest,
Hold.
Exhale,
Chest,
Ribs,
Belly,
Release.
Taking a few more cycles just like this on your own,
The three-part yogic breath.
Now kindly soften your awareness on the breath,
And allow your mind's eye to drift off into your favorite place in nature.
A place that makes you feel relaxed,
Yet energized all at once,
That fills you with passion,
That holds beauty beyond belief.
Allow yourself to bask in this natural world,
Whether it's a place you visited before in real life,
Or a totally made-up place.
Experience the natural world around you as if it's literally holding you,
Because in fact it truly is.

Take this time to absorb the elements,
The colors,
The sounds,
The smells,
The air on your skin in this beautiful sanctuary.
Observing the whole of the landscape,
Even the little details,
Like what kind of wildlife is around you?
What does the native flora look like and feel like?
Are there rocks or crystals nearby?
Maybe there's an ocean,
Or a river,
A stream,
Mountains in the distance.
This is yours.
There are no right or wrong answers.
Just allow yourself to arrive deeply in the natural world.
Eventually you notice a path lined with trees.
Observe the ground beneath your feet as you begin to walk down this path.
The trees,
Like a literal canopy over your head,
Guiding you and protecting you all at once.
An overwhelming sense of peace comes over you,
And you pause on the path to take a really deep inhale and a fully extended exhale.
As you continue to make your way down the path,
You notice the trees thinning out.
There are fewer and fewer trees.
The path widens until it eventually just pours itself into the landscape.
The path is no longer clearly laid out for you.
The trees are no longer canopied over your head,
But your body innately knows exactly where to go.
You continue walking until your walk becomes a jog,
Your jog a run,
Your breath speeding up with the pace of your stride until eventually you're confronted with a huge,
With a huge rock.
You pause again and take a huge breath in and a really long breath out.
Perfectly smooth and easy to climb,
You begin to make your way to the top of the rock,
The sun shining beautifully on your skin,
Warming you from the inside out and the outside in.
At the top,
You observe that the landscape has in fact shifted and changed.
Being on top of the rock,
You notice you are much more exposed than you were earlier,
But there's this innate knowing that all is well.
You've been divinely guided to this exact place,
This precise moment in time.
You are right where you're meant to be,
The sun shining around you and within you.
Your eyes begin to meet the horizon and you notice a figure starting to make its way toward you.
You quickly note that this figure moving so gracefully and pridefully is in fact a lion.
Observe the lion you see is a lion or a lioness.
It doesn't matter,
Just notice.
Your breath begins to deepen and lengthen.
Not an ounce of you reverts to the past or old habits.
You are fully present,
Completely connected,
Right here and now.
What may have once been fear has transformed into an overwhelming sense of awe.
You are literally amazed by this strong and powerful animal who is walking toward you.
You quickly realize there isn't an ounce of aggression between you and the animal.
There is nothing but respect.
As it gets closer,
The details of the body become more clear.
A tapered and strong waist and core,
An expanded chest and heart space,
Fierce passion in the eyes,
As it approaches you,
You eventually make eye contact.
These eyes,
Alive with passion,
Filled with fierce purpose,
It gets a little closer and you see that the lion's eyes and yours are actually one in the same.
You can literally see your own eyes as you look deeper into this vast animal's eyes.
Such focus,
Pure clarity.
The animal makes its way even closer and eventually joins you on the rock.
The same sun is shining on you both.
Never once losing eye contact.
Its body comes to sit right in front of yours.
Together,
You close your eyes and bow to one another,
Acknowledging the presence.
Together,
You deeply inhale and completely exhale.
You both find each other's eyes again and the lion extends its forehead toward yours.
You join in the movement until your foreheads connect.
As your foreheads connect,
This innate knowing washes over you.
You feel protected,
Seen,
Calm,
And you feel the presence of the lion.
Seen,
Calm,
And energized all at once.
As you peel your heads away from one another,
You notice your heart extending a bit further than normal.
And all that's left to do is smile with a huge sense of pride.
The lion slowly begins to make its way off the rock and runs into the distance.
As it's running and disappearing into the horizon,
You realize that you did not revert to old patterns or habits of fear.
You didn't let your mind take over.
Instead,
You listened to your heart.
Now you stand pridefully on the rock,
Heart extended like the lion,
And say bravely to the world,
I no longer allow fear to control my life.
I no longer allow fear to control my life.
I am protected.
I am safe.
I am unconditionally loved.
I am unconditional love.
How liberating to feel pride,
To feel passion,
To know that the breath will hold you and guide you.
Once the lion has disappeared completely,
You look around and realize there was no one there to witness that miracle.
No one to tell you good job,
Or I can't believe how strong and courageous you are.
Just you and your breath.
You literally feel your heart smile,
Realizing external validation is not the point.
We are not living our lives for others,
But instead we're choosing passion.
We're choosing to wake up We are choosing to play,
To connect,
To create,
Because we are currently inhaling and exhaling.
The magic of this life is not found in fear,
But rather in living a life of the heart,
Through the heart,
To the heart.
And when we are living from the heart,
All that's left is love,
Connectivity,
And awe for ourselves,
Each other,
This natural world,
And the universe at large.
We know when to welcome adrenaline,
But also how to calm it down.
We know when to open,
And when to set up our boundaries.
We know how to live and love wholly and fully.
And with that,
Please draw your awareness back inward to the breath.
Feel your body breathe.
Notice the air on your skin,
The ground beneath you.
You recognize your current reality and reconnect with pride for even taking yourself on that imaginary journey and this guided meditation.

So here we remind ourselves that no matter what,
We are held and protected.
