This is a magical journey to release stressors, worries, anxiety and negative thoughts. Along the way, you will connect with a tree - just like you, its majestic presence has weathered many storms and grown stronger and stronger.

This is a hypnotic track so please make sure that you don't listen to this while driving or doing anything that requires your full attention.
So let's start!
Let's get comfy now and have a little wriggle to make sure you are nice and relaxed.
Put your attention on my voice and of course you will be aware of any external background sounds like dogs barking or traffic or footsteps or voices and other sounds and all of these sounds will only help you to relax even more because you are safe,
It protected you.
Nothing needs to disturb you right now and if your mind wanders to other things,
To everyday things that is very very normal so don't let that bother you.
You will actually find that it is very very easy for your mind to just come back to my voice and even if you feel that you are not listening to every single sentence or you are not exactly absorbing everything I'm saying that's absolutely fine because your subconscious always uses everything that is said to you so just relax.
Take a nice deep breath in and take your time to breathe out nice and slow and relax.
Take another nice deep breath in,
Even deeper this time and even slower breathing out.
And I'd like you to imagine now that there is a beam of sunlight just on your toes,
Across your toes and it feels lovely,
It feels soothing and you can feel the warmth of it and it's a lovely sensation,
It's relaxing you,
It feels wonderful on your toes,
It feels warm,
Nice reassuring and I'd like you to imagine that beam of light is slowly rising up your feet,
Across your ankles and it's spreading that warm,
Comforting,
Comfortable feeling that relaxed sensation so your feet are feeling lovely and relaxed and safe and you are relaxed and safe and happy.
As you notice that warm,
Relaxing beam of light is travelling up into your lower legs and you can just feel how nice they feel,
They're all relaxed,
Maybe feeling a little bit heavy and you are comfortable,
Safe,
Relaxed and warm as the light beam travels up along your thighs,
Up to your hips,
You might feel that lovely,
Warm sensation on your thighs,
Inside your thighs as you relax even more,
Even deeper,
Comfy,
Safe,
Relaxed and the sun beam now moves across your torso,
Just making your body feel warm,
At ease,
It's really all about enjoying that sensation of warm relaxation,
Feeling peaceful,
Just melting into this calm,
Into this safe contentment as the sun beam goes over the ribs and that warm sensation is filling the lower half of your body now,
That wonderful,
Peaceful contentment.
As you are feeling more and more relaxed,
Comfortable,
The light beam moves across the shoulders and your shoulders,
All your shoulder blades feel instantly relaxed from this lovely,
Warm light which is penetrating your skin all the way to your muscles and it moves them and it relaxes them.
I wonder whether you have noticed or not noticed that you might experience a sense of sinking further down into the chair or into the bed under you and your mind might be drifting away as the sun beam is filling you with calm,
Peace,
Relaxation as it moves down your arms and all the way down across your elbows and notice that soothing sensation making your arms feel heavier as they relax more and more and more and when the light reaches your hands and your fingers feel as it flows down each finger and it flows out from each one so that your fingers feel warm,
Tingly which means that you are relaxing even deeper,
It means that all the tension is flowing away,
Flowing out of your body as the sun beam.
The light now goes up your neck,
Your throat where you can feel the warm glow relaxing all the tiny muscles in your neck and your throat as it goes up to your jaw,
Travelling up all the way across your face,
All the way up to the top of your head.
So that is now flowing through your body like a calm,
Warm river on a summer day and all you have to do is just enjoy the calm,
The peace as the light flows through your body and out through the top of your head.
I want you to feel that you are safe,
You are secure,
You are content,
You are very relaxed and you are now very deeply relaxed.
And as the beam of sunlight flows through your body calming and relaxing you and it streams out on the top of your head,
It forms a beautiful colourful rainbow and the colours are bright and are warm and they are all there,
The red,
The orange,
The yellow,
The green,
The violet,
The blue.
And the rainbow is leading you down towards the end where it caves at and back down and it touches the ground.
And all the way in the distance where it is touching the ground notice that there is a path that you can see just ahead of you in the distance.
It's a lovely warm sunny day today and notice that there is a river down at the bottom of the valley and looking down the bank you see that the water is just flowing at a slow pace,
It's in no rush,
It's just happily trickling along on this warm sunny day and the sun is shining down onto the water making it sparkle.
So I'd like you to start following the path at the end of the rainbow,
Just rolling along the top of the valley with a river below and the colours of the rainbow still touching down to the ground.
And as you keep walking on notice that there is a smaller path branching off which leads down the gentle slope down towards the river.
So I'd like you to take this path and start heading down towards the lazy peaceful water down below as the river is flowing slowly,
Gently splashing and as you go down the path that gentle sound of the water gets ever so slightly louder.
And then you keep going down towards the bank and the trees all along the bank,
Beautiful trees.
They stand tall and strong and their branches are gently swaying in the breeze.
And as you reach the bottom of the path just take a few moments to stroll along the gently flowing river and just absorb the beauty all around you.
Hear the water trickling along.
Notice the gentle breeze warm on your skin,
On your face,
Your arms.
Looking at the river you can see that it bends around the corner,
It just continues its journey beyond that bend,
Just eventually disappearing from view but you know that it is still there flowing just by playing gently and calmly as it goes.
And next to you,
Right on the edge of the river,
There is a bench which looks quite comfortable and I'd like you to sit on this bench,
Feeling safe,
Calm,
Content,
Very relaxed,
At peace,
Just notice how wonderfully relaxed you feel and notice how just next to the bench,
Perfectly within touching distance,
There is a magnificent tree.
And it looks old,
You can tell from the trunk,
It's gnarled,
It's quite aged and it stands there majestically.
So just reach out and feel it,
Feel how solid it is,
Warm,
Slightly rough,
Very very reassuring,
Just let your fingers run over the trunk.
And as you do,
Notice how some of the leaves hanging from the branches or the trees,
Overhanging the river,
Gently fluttering down every now and then,
Just dancing slightly in the air and then lightly touching the water.
And as they touch the river,
Notice the tiny little ripples forming from the leaf,
Flowing outwards.
They are so small but you can see them,
You can count them,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And each ripple makes you feel even more relaxed,
Even more content.
So watch the ripples gently flow outwards,
Each ripple relaxing you more and more.
And as you watch that gentle slow flow of water carries the leaf very slowly,
As you watch it go fitter and fitter,
Slowly,
Carefully,
Popping very gently up and down as it goes with the flow,
Fitter and fitter away,
Smaller and smaller,
Until it is now out of sight.
It has floated off out of sight around the bend in the river.
And so now bring your attention back to that majestic tree next to you,
In which you are still touching with your fingers,
And feel how similar that tree is to you deep down because that tree has survived many many storms and is still there standing,
Beautiful,
Tall,
Proud and really able to cope with whatever comes and goes,
With any weather,
Any storm.
And it's been there and it's been growing stronger for hundreds of years.
Growing stronger and stronger with each year,
With each storm.
And now watch as a large golden leaf now comes loose and it dances down through the air and it settles down on your lap.
And like it,
Pick it up,
Just hold it gently with your fingers.
Now this leaf is ready to hold one of the anxieties or the worries or the negative thoughts,
One of the problems that you have been experiencing.
And I'd like you to imagine putting your anxiety or your worry onto the leaf as if it was a hologram or a symbol.
Put it on the leaf or you might choose to represent it as a word or a string of words or a sentence.
Or it can be anything visual such as an animal,
A colour,
A shape.
Whatever you feel represents your worry,
Your thought,
Put it on the leaf.
And watch as the leaf curls around that anxiety and it squeezes out,
Gripping it tightly.
So I'd like you now to get up from the bench,
Take the leaf gently down to the edge of the river and just drop it into the water and watch it float away.
Carrying with it,
Your worry,
Carrying with it your thoughts that you don't need.
And as the leaf is carried away with the flow of the water around the bend,
It becomes smaller,
It becomes much less significant.
As it swirls and it twirls and it just disappears from your view.
And as it disappears from view,
Just notice how that old anxiety from the past has become less intense.
Oh,
It is fading away.
And as it fades away,
It's replaced by a feeling of calm,
A feeling of serenity and inner knowledge that all is well and all will be well.
Now,
Maybe there are other worries,
Other thoughts,
Other anxieties that have been bothering you,
So choose another one and pick up one of the fallen leaves from the ground.
You can release another leaf,
You can again put your worry on the leaf.
Watch as the edges of the leaf are curling around that issue.
Now just let it drop onto the water and watch as the leaf slowly floats away down the river,
Floats away down the river,
Just like the previous one.
Following the current of the river,
Floating away,
Becoming smaller and smaller,
And smaller,
Flowing around the bend.
And finally just disappearing from view.
As it carried away the anxiety that you were holding in the past.
When you can keep just watching your anxieties float away on those leaves,
Hardly even making any ripples on the surface of this calm,
Peaceful river.
Peaceful river.
And when they've all floated away you can return to your bench and sit down.
Sit down again next to your strong tall tree.
Now keep in mind that this tree,
This river,
This bench,
They always exist in your mind.
And so you can bring yourself back here whenever you want to,
Whenever you need to.
All you need to do is relax,
Walk down the path,
Just make your way back to the piece of this place.
And now that you feel wonderful,
You feel released from the anxiety that was holding you back,
You can relax and relax.
And now that you feel wonderful,
You feel released from the anxiety that was holding you back,
Now you can move forwards in your life.
Now that you know how to release any anxieties,
Feel as you are more able to cope with the challenges,
The problems,
With the demands of everyday life because you are more confident,
More self-assured.
You know that you are strong just like your tree,
Your roots are deep and they hold you firm,
They hold you steady.
So you are able to just wither through any fears,
Any worries with a clear mind,
A clear focus,
Feeling powerful,
Feeling confident.
Powerful,
Feeling confident.
So you can say thank you to your new friends now,
Your tree,
As it is time to come back from our little adventure.
So I'm going to count from one to five in a moment and as you come back from your journey,
The feelings of relief,
The feelings of release,
Lightness and empowerment will stay with you and they will grow stronger and stronger as each day goes by.
They grow stronger by the day,
Stronger by the hour,
Stronger by the minute.
