As seasons shift,

So can our moods.

Sometimes winter can feel dark and chilly.

Let's take this moment of quiet to shift in our minds to a place of warmth and light.

As we begin this meditation,

Please get comfortable,

Close your eyes,

And take three deep breaths.

In.

.

.

And out.

.

.

In.

.

.

And out.

.

.

In.

.

.

And out.

.

.

Feel the rhythm of your breath as the air comes in and out of your body.

The air flows in through your nose,

Is warmed up by your body,

Fills your lungs,

And flows back out again.

Your breath flows in,

Is warmed,

And flows out again.

Allow your breath to continue its gentle rhythm and picture in your mind the sun shining on you.

Feel its warmth on your body,

Beginning with your feet.

Feel the sun warm your feet,

Move up your lower legs,

And warm your upper legs.

Feel the sun warm your torso,

Your hands,

And arms.

Feel the sun warm your neck,

Your face,

And your head.

As you continue to breathe in your warm breath,

Feel the sun's warmth permeating your whole body.

Take a moment to soak in the heat of the sun and feel it soothe your body and your mind.

Picture the rays of the sun spreading their warm light all around you.

Bright,

Sunny days naturally lift our mood.

So whether or not today is actually sunny,

You can create the feeling of warmth and light in your mind.

Take another deep,

Warm,

Sun-kissed breath.

Turn up the corners of your mouth and open your eyes.
