This postcard is about accessing the place where "you" reside. How to tap into the stillness and slow things down. Pausing from "doing" long enough to "be", to listen to what is there, to have a conversation with our divine, our soul, and to speak the language of love.

Morning.

As I was feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin this morning,

I was thinking of you.

Yeah you.

So I thought I would pin you a note,

A postcard,

Before starting my day.

I was wondering if you know how wonderful you are.

And did you know that everything that you will ever need is already inside of you?

And has been since the very beginning of you.

But do you know how to access this place?

This place where all things you are contained?

It's not too difficult.

Not at all.

It's about being still.

I know,

You say,

In this world,

That's tough.

But I'll tell you,

Once you start,

Trust me,

It gets easier.

And you'll wish you'd started sooner.

So how do you get still?

Well,

There's no right or wrong way to do it.

But let me explain how I do it and that might help.

I start by sitting myself down.

Sitting myself down on the ground and closing my eyes.

Because when I sit down and stop myself from doing,

I'm able to slow everything down,

Quiet my mind,

And just be.

I stop doing and I start being.

I become still.

When touching the earth,

I feel safe.

I feel anchored.

Cradled.

And with my eyes closed,

I'm able to see inward,

Inside of myself.

Because without the distraction of sight,

I can actually see me.

Once I'm still,

I breathe.

There is just something about breath that's almost spiritual.

Here is where I can hear the whisperings of my heart.

The desires of my soul asking to come out to play.

I no longer am the cloaks that I put on every day.

I'm not my titles,

My race,

My face.

Instead,

I'm simply love.

The only language that my soul knows.

I sit with myself intimately and just listen.

I let my mind and body rest,

Let them know I'm safe here,

And then I listen to the divine that speaks within me.

We talk like friends,

Like the best of friends.

We speak the language of love to one another and just be.

The more time I spend here with myself,

The more I become my best self.

So if you get a minute today,

Try it out.

See if it changes you.

I hope you have a fabulous day.

Giving you warm hugs.
