This will be an active guided meditation and visualization,
Meaning that you will continue to drink cacao throughout.
So please be sure to hold the cup in a way that will allow you to do this.
If you do not have a cup of cacao,
You can always welcome a nice slow deep breath in the places that you are prompted to drink.
As you settle in,
Become as comfortable as possible,
Adjusting the way you are sitting if needed,
Beginning to slow and relax your breath,
Then gently closing your eyes,
Taking a nice slow deep breath together.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Cacao is a connector.
Just as a bridge can connect two pieces of land over a body of water,
Cacao can connect us to places deep within ourselves,
To others,
To the divine.
Cacao is an expander.
Just as a scented candle can release warmth,
Light,
And fragrance into a room,
Cacao can help our hearts,
Inspirations,
And emotions to open and flow more easily.
As we begin,
I invite you to set an intention to welcome the energy of cacao into your being,
To allow it to flow through your physical,
Mental,
And emotional selves,
Bringing connection and expansion.
Taking a slow breath in and out.
Now having a drink of cacao,
Imagining the cacao flowing into your stomach,
The great furnace of your body,
A place that offers digestion,
Nourishment,
Energy,
Alchemy.
It holds many miraculous processes that happen in your physical self.
Whether yours is soft,
Hard,
Big,
Small,
It is beautiful and deserving of love.
During your next few breaths,
See if you can connect to the wondrous parts of you held within the area of the belly,
Inviting a gentle and loving acceptance,
Appreciation.
Now taking another drink of cacao,
Bringing your awareness to your body as a whole.
What an amazing gift it is to have this physical form in which we can explore the world,
Walking,
Touching,
Smelling,
Seeing,
Hearing,
Tasting.
Think of your muscles,
The strength of them,
The way your heart keeps pumping blood and oxygen day after day,
Supporting these muscles,
Supporting all of you.
During the next few breaths,
Welcome a connection to your muscles,
Your blood,
Your heart,
Appreciating and accepting.
Having another sip of cacao,
Looking inward once more,
Let us now feel our bones,
The structure within,
That which holds and protects all the rest.
What if we imagine that our bones are filled with starlight,
That it is radiating from every single piece of our skeleton,
That it is purifying us from the inside out,
Shimmering brightly,
Beautifully.
During the next few breaths,
Envision this,
Feel this,
Let yourself shine.
Now having another drink of cacao,
Bringing your awareness to my voice,
Remembering that I am a person.
You and I,
We are each going through our own unique experience,
Yet we are connected in this moment,
Through this meditation.
This is a perfect reflection of daily life.
We all go about our tasks and responsibilities,
Our individual thoughts and feelings,
Yet we are always connected to others,
Through the air we breathe,
The sun that warms us,
The ground we walk upon.
Often we see each other,
Sometimes in a subtle way,
Sometimes deeply.
During the next few breaths,
See if you can relax your body and feel the other beings in your life,
Keeping your eyes closed,
But knowing and trusting that all are connected.
How does that feel,
Taking another sip of your cacao?
Now I'm going to ask you a question.
Afterwards,
Simply listen for any answer that may come.
What does your heart need most?
As you bring your attention back into your physical space and gently open your eyes as ready,
You may wish to take a few moments to reflect on the answer that came.
