Welcome to your meditation.
In today's meditation,
You'll have the opportunity to make a wish.
Find a comfortable position.
Close your eyes.
Bring your awareness to your breath as you begin to follow each inhale,
Each exhale.
Notice any thoughts,
Smells,
Sounds,
Emotions that begin to arise.
Acknowledge those senses and bring your awareness back to your breath.
Bring your index fingers and thumbs together,
Palms facing down on your lap or gently on your knees.
You're activating your finger pads as you press the middle fingers,
Ring fingers and pinky fingers down into your lap.
This is a grounding mudra to ground your energy in and through your body.
Bring your awareness to your third eye space,
The space in between your eyebrows.
This is your Ajna chakra,
The sixth chakra.
With your eyes closed,
Begin to gaze towards this inner drishti right in between your eyebrows.
Feel the sensation of being rooted and connected to this third eye space.
Imagine in between your index finger and thumb,
You're holding a penny.
You can gaze at the penny.
Maybe you even look at what year this penny is from.
Bring your childlike self in.
Picture as a child,
Who would have given you this penny?
As you hold your penny tight,
Make a wish.
Honor your wish.
Say it to yourself one more time.
As you look ahead,
You see a fountain or a wishing well.
Notice your surroundings.
Are you outside or inside?
Are there trees?
What is the pathway made of underneath you?
Begin to walk forward towards this wishing well or fountain.
Let the surroundings sink into your being.
Bring the hand that you're holding your penny in up towards your heart.
Say your wish one last time.
Now bring your penny up towards your lips.
Kiss the penny and throw it in.
Sit with this feeling.
Honor your sacred wish.
Begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Following each inhale,
Each exhale.
Bring your hands to heart center,
Prayer pose,
Or Anjali Mudra.
Honoring your practice.
Honoring the sacred space that you sit in.
Honoring your sacred wish.
Go ahead and take a deep inhale.
Open your mouth and exhale out.
Bow towards your fingertips.
Namaste.
