Layers of expansion and contraction. If at first you are unable to actually sense the differentiation, It is perfectly fine to simply imagine it. Sit on the floor or on a stool and feel your breath. You may feel the expansion with every inhale and the contraction with every exhale. This is the way we visualize the breath.
