Let's take some time together to invite the feeling of being held in the support of what's larger than ourselves.
However you understand that experience of being part of something larger than yourself.
Getting in touch with.
Resting on that support.
Can bring perspective.
Comfort.
And a sense of being cared about.
So let's see what happens.
Inviting you to take your time.
To find a comfortable place to sit and arrange things so you can settle there for a little while.
And now let your awareness come to your body.
And be aware of your whole body here and now.
Your body.
Is supported by what you're sitting on.
And you can let yourself rest into that support.
And you might also be aware of the support.
Beneath the support.
So for example,
Your chair rests on the floor.
The floor rests on a foundation.
The foundation rests on the earth.
Which supports you all the way down to its core.
Take some time to sense what it's like to feel that deep support.
And support also surrounds you.
If you pause and sense the living world of nature that you are part of.
Even if you're not outdoors right now,
Where you are is embraced.
By the living world of plants,
Trees,
And countless other beings.
Notice what it's like to feel yourself a member of that larger world of living beings.
That world of life includes you.
See if you'd like to invite a message of caring.
From that larger interconnected world that you are part of.
Perhaps a message of caring,
Of inclusion,
Of support.
Even if love?
This larger system of all living beings includes you.
And it's not the same without you.
It needs you as you need it.
And it's very natural.
To find oneself held and cherished.
By the larger whole system.
So give yourself some time to feel what that's like for you.
Sometimes people can feel a part of themselves feeling cut off from what's larger.
If that's true for you right now?
You might simply acknowledge it.
Say to that part of you,
I know you're here too.
There's no need to try to make it different from how it is.
And you are here.
Sensing all this.
Both what welcomes being part of what is larger and what doesn't.
All of that is here.
And now before we stop,
Let's take some time to just remember what it feels like to be held by what's larger.
And if it feels good,
To invite the feel of it to keep going.
And be there when you need it.
Even when this process is over.
And thank your body.
