This is a beautiful vocal exercises that is using the notes of the Indian Scale. So we are getting familiar with the short names of the notes Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni and the higher Sa. We are also practicing listening as we are intending to repeat the short melodies that are given.

Let's find a comfortable position within.

Instantly we can connect to our inner garden.

We can come to that place of stillness and silence by connecting to our breath,

Being aware of the breath moving through our body,

Into our body,

Out of our body.

We want to investigate time as bendable and how we can create space and time within our minds.

So this exercise,

I call it call and response,

Is done with a Shruti box and you can of course do this also without the Shruti box.

So the call is for different short melodies,

A couple of notes,

We can use the name of the notes,

We can use any sounds,

Any names that come to us and you will copy those melodies I am suggesting.

And I am going to give a little example.

Shruti box is tuned in A.

And you will repeat that.

And so on and so on.

And I really invite you to be creative with this exercise because you can also do it with your children,

You can do it with your friends,

Of course alone as well.

And or you can just follow this exercise and repeat.
