We talk about how we feel a lot.
Women are so feeling-centric that our feelings are like a living,
Breathing force inside us.
They are our connection to the eternal,
To God,
To Source.
Think about the last time someone hurt your feelings.
It was a physical sensation.
Your entire system shut down.
Your body couldn't move.
It was hard to breathe.
There was excruciating pain in your chest.
Your skin went pale.
Light hurt your eyes.
You couldn't smile.
It's dark.
A total system crash.
At this moment,
The moment your feelings are hurt,
You are disconnected from Source.
It is one of the most terrifying experiences as a woman because we feel safe in being connected.
And when our feelings are hurt,
Our most important and vital connection is severed.
We feel completely alone.
It is frightening,
Brutal,
Death.
Think about the last time you felt euphoric.
There is a pep in your step.
Anything is possible.
You are radiant,
Glowing,
Complete life force,
And love and light.
Your skin is like the morning dew.
You are swollen with joy and your eyes sparkle.
You are connected.
You are life.
It is your feelings that will allow you to turn your instincts into profound intuition and wisdom.
Feelings are your truth.
They are the language of your soul.
It is your feelings that you have to honor.
Feelings are sometimes difficult to recognize and even more difficult to acknowledge,
Yet hidden deeply in your feelings is your highest truth.
If you want to know what is true for you about something,
Look at how you are feeling about it because your feelings are how your intuition communicates.
Words in general are often the least effective communicator.
They are often misunderstood because words are only utterances that stand for our feelings,
Thoughts,
And experiences.
They are symbols.
They are not the real thing.
Words can be used to understand something,
But experience allows you to know something.
When there are some things you cannot yet experience,
This is where feelings come in.
In our culture,
We tend to trust words above all else.
What is said about you is who you think you are,
Rather than the experience of you.
It should be the other way around.
Your feelings about a thing represent what you intuitively know.
Words can only seek to symbolize what you know.
Here is where it can get confusing.
Some feelings are true feelings,
Feelings born in the soul.
Some feelings are instinct feelings,
Born out of fear.
They are not really feelings at all.
They are thoughts masquerading as feelings.
Yet even these can be experienced as momentary truths.
Feelings in either instant are never negative or destructive.
They are simply truths.
How you express your truth is what matters.
When you express your truth with love,
Negative and damning results rarely occur.
And when they do,
It's usually because someone else has chosen to experience your truth in a negative way.
In which case,
There is nothing you could do to avoid that outcome.
Failing to express your truth is never appropriate.
Yet many people choose to keep them hidden.
So afraid are they to face unpleasantness that they hide their truth altogether.
Remember this.
It is not nearly so important how well a message is received as how well it is delivered.
You cannot take responsibility for how well another receives your truth.
You can only ensure how it is delivered.
And by how well,
I don't mean how clearly.
I mean how lovingly,
How compassionate,
How courageous,
And how complete.
Truth without love is brutal.
Love without truth is hypocritical.
This leaves no room for partial truths,
Brutal truths,
Or plain truths.
It means the truth,
The whole truth,
And nothing but the truth.
The question isn't whether we should allow ourselves to look inside for the truth of our feelings,
But how we should express those feelings in a way that will allow us to elevate our experience of who and what we are.
Anger,
For example,
Is not a negative feeling.
Anger is a gift,
A way that we have to say,
No thank you.
There is rarely a feeling that is inappropriate,
Because it is simply how we feel.
We get into more trouble trying to deny how we feel to come off as holy or controlled or composed or healed or as whole.
It is this repression of feelings that cause psychological difficulties.
The free flow of feelings like anger or hatred or jealousy or rage is not the real issue.
When we feel rage,
When we feel anger,
When we feel any negative emotion,
What do we do in response to that?
It is how we deal with anger,
Hatred,
Jealousy,
Or rage and the actions we take as a result of them that can get us into trouble.
And there is where mastery is found,
Not in the subjugation of feelings,
But in noticing it,
Holding it,
Feeling it,
Being safe with it,
Being okay with it,
And not condemning yourself over what you feel.
So yes,
Do recognize your most negative feelings,
But not destructively.
Failure to see negative feelings doesn't make them disappear.
It keeps them in.
A negativity kept in burdens the body and harms the soul.
Hear what is true for you in that moment.
Then,
If you have the willingness and the desire and level of mastery,
You can look deeper to see what is behind that feeling.
Go more deeply and more deeply and more deeply and more deeply.
Feel away until you are at the deepest feeling,
The purest thought.
It is after you feel through the most shallow feelings that you can get to the deep.
One cannot get to the bottom of the ocean without going through the top.
Yes,
That negativity is true for you in that moment,
But it is never a sign of ultimate truth,
Even if it seems so at the time.
It arises from an unhealed part of you.
This is why it is so important to release them.
Only letting go of them,
Putting them in front of you,
Will allow you to see them clearly enough to see if you even believe them.
Have you ever said things,
Ugly things,
Only to discover that once having been said,
They no longer feel true?
That after they have been expressed,
They no longer reveal how you really feel?
That is because you are always your highest thought,
Your grandest feeling,
Your clearest words.
Anything less than that is from another source.
Now this shouldn't be difficult.
The highest thought is always that thought which contains joy.
The clearest words are those words that contain truth.
The grandest feeling is love,
Joy,
Truth,
And love.
They always lead to each other.
Use these guidelines to know what feelings,
Thoughts,
And words are yours,
And what are from another source.
