Good morning.
This is a loving invitation to start your day with grace.
We have brains that are evolved,
Are designed to look to the negative,
To keep us safe.
There is a lot of purpose to it,
But it also means that we can be incredibly critical.
Judgments can come up,
Assumptions.
So this offering is about inviting more grace in.
And being purposeful and intentional.
We think about our state of being that we want to take into the day and give space for that to clear out,
Quieten down parts of us that are not so helpful and inviting the parts of us that we do want to bring through the day.
It can make such a difference.
So I invite you to take a breath in.
Opening your chest a little.
Keeping things gentle and as you breathe out.
Settle into yourself and settle into those parts of you that are touching floor or furniture that are upholding the rest of you.
Taking another breath in and as you breathe out,
Place your hand on your heart.
And either soften your gaze and lower your eyelids or close your eyes.
And you may want to place your other hand on your belly.
Or your diaphragm.
And first I'm going to invite you to send love to those parts of you.
That are quick to judge.
Whether that's self-criticism,
Judgment of others,
Or judgment of circumstance and environment around you.
Begin this practice,
Begin your day.
By giving those parts of you some grace.
Let them know that they don't need to work so hard.
That they are safe.
And that you've got things held.
Invite them to put their feet up to chill out.
Settle down.
And then on your next in-breath breathing right into the belly.
And filling up the whole of your lungs.
Nourishing yourself with the simplicity of air and of spaciousness.
Start this day by coming back to you.
To your center.
To the core of you.
Your simple and beautiful essence.
Your center is a place of deep knowing.
Where no matter what,
There is always an ember of love.
A chink of light.
And deep,
Deep wisdom.
By connecting in with this place and breathing into it.
You give it space to expand.
So through your breath and your intention.
Invite this expansion.
Let grace flow within you.
Let it flow throughout you.
And lifting your chin slightly.
Invite a gentle smile into your face.
Gently radiating that grace outwardly and forward into your day.
Where in your day and in your being.
Will there be a wonderful opportunity?
To live and be from a place of grace.
Towards yourself.
Towards abyss.
And the world around you.
Being in grace.
Feeds our assuredness in a gentle and loving way.
It eases off.
Unnecessary striving.
And when we let it take up space.
Does turn the volume down on those judgments.
Giving ourselves more space for love.
May you have a graceful day.
