Transcript
The journey of the sun throughout the year,
And the corresponding change in seasons and the natural world,
Influences our own inner journeys.
As above,
So below.
At the spring equinox,
Day and night are equal,
Yet it marks the time when light overcomes darkness,
When life triumphs over death.
The days begin to grow longer,
And that which was dormant in the earth begins to grow anew,
Bursting forth with life and energy.
Symbolically,
This is a time of growth and illumination,
A time of awakening and reawakening.
This energy is evident all around us,
From the change in the winds,
To buds shooting up from the earth,
To the whisper of green leaves unfurling,
And flowers blossoming.
Within our own lives,
It is a time of open-mindedness,
Where we can look at our life with fresh perspective.
It is naturally a time to begin something new,
To make a fresh start,
Or to reenergize something that has become bare.
And so as we begin this meditation,
Take a moment to get settled and centered.
Sit or lie in a comfortable position so that you can relax.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath.
And as you release that breath,
Let yourself relax.
Breathe in again.
Notice where you might be holding tension.
Breathe into that space.
And as you breathe out,
Let the tension go and relax even further.
Begin to envision gentle sparkling,
Soothing white light coming down to the top of your head.
Going over your crown,
Down the back of your head,
Over your face,
Down your neck,
Over your shoulders,
Down your arms and your forearms and into your hands.
Down your chest and stomach,
Down your spine.
As the soothing white light continues to move down your body,
Just allow it to melt away any tension in your body,
To completely relax.
Continues down to your hips and your pelvis,
Down your thighs,
Over your knees,
Down your shins and into your ankles and into your feet,
To the tips of your toes.
Now envision golden,
Golden energy coming up from the core of the earth,
Up through the layers of earth,
Through the granite,
Stones,
Through the gravel,
Up through the grass,
Up through the dirt and eventually up into your body,
Through your toes.
And that golden earth energy sweeps up your ankles,
Up your calves and your knees,
Your hips,
Up your stomach and up your back,
Your spine,
Up your chest,
Into your shoulders and your shoulder blades,
Down into your arms and into your hands and that golden energy continues upwards into your neck and up your face,
Relaxing your eyes and forehead,
Up over the back of your head until it covers your crown.
Let these energies of the above and below combine and swirl together throughout your entire body,
Relaxing you even further as you are held in the support of space.
Now bring to mind something that you'd like to bring forth in your life,
Something that you'd like to bring fresh energy to.
It could be a new project,
An intention,
A way of being or simply something that you'd like to manifest.
Lightly hold this vision in your awareness.
You can visualize it as a word or phrase,
As an image or even a symbol that represents that which you'd like to bring forth.
Visualize it in front of you and envision it being held inside a seed.
Imagine a seed that will encase and protect this desire that you'd like to manifest and notice the seed.
Is it small or large,
Smooth or rough?
What color is it?
Now as you see your seed holding the thing that you want to manifest or bring forth,
You also begin to see rich,
Luxurious,
Nutrient-filled soil in front of you,
The most velvety rich soil you've ever seen.
And now take that precious seed and plant it in the soil.
Go ahead and move the dirt aside and tenderly place it in the earth.
You can cover it up.
It is in this soil,
In the earth,
That the magic will begin to happen.
It has a home.
It has a place where it can begin to take root and from which it will grow.
Now begin to imagine sunlight shining down upon it.
This sunlight glows and grows brighter and brighter,
Warmer and warmer.
The soothing,
Healing light of the sun pours down onto the soil,
Down onto your seed,
Engulfing this space.
The sun itself comes down from the sky and completely surrounds,
Completely encases the soil and the space in which your seed is held.
They are inside the sun.
And here is so luminous,
So warm,
So energizing,
This sunlight.
Start to imagine crystal clear,
Sparkling raindrops gently showering the soil.
This water is healing,
Life-giving and full of nutrients and minerals.
It gently rains down,
Reaching the seed,
Purifying it,
Giving just the right amount of moisture and hydration that is needed.
As you imagine the space,
You start to see tiny little sprouts emerge from the earth with these beautiful conditions of the sunlight and the rain and nutrient-rich soil in which to grow.
These sprouts easily and effortlessly germinate and take root.
You can see their roots under the soil growing,
Spreading out,
Becoming stronger.
A sprout shoots up from the earth and becomes taller and starts to have leaves coming off of its stalk.
More and more sprouts pop up from the earth,
Each one bursting forth from the soil,
Becoming taller,
Healthy,
Vibrant plants that cover the earth where you planted your seed.
As these plants grow,
Notice what they look like.
Are they flowers?
Are they a plant of a fruit or a vegetable?
Is it a tree or a bush?
Take note of what is growing in the space that has been tended to and nurtured to in these healing conditions.
Are the same plants coming up or different plants growing?
See those happy plants basking in the sunlight,
Becoming ever more strong,
Ever more healthy,
Colorful,
And pure.
The clear,
Clean water drops again fall gently around the plants,
Giving them even more nutrients to support its growth.
And the sunlight continues to shine down upon the plants,
Taking the beauty that you see in front of you.
Notice a gentle,
Soft,
Warm breeze coming through.
And those happy little plants dance in the wind,
Vibrant and healthy in the sun,
Nourished in these elements that cultivate life and growth.
Now take a look around the plants.
Is there anything sprouting up that might not belong there?
Any weeds or other plants that aren't part of what you planted?
Is there any debris around the soil,
Rocks,
Dried up leaves from the fall,
Old foliage that remains after winter?
There's no problem if there are.
Gently notice that if anything needs to be cleaned up or decluttered,
Start doing so now.
Just gently pull out any weeds,
Pluck them from the earth,
And set them aside.
Gently dust off or clear away any debris and set that to the side.
You'll be swept away by that warm breeze,
Taken away,
Taken care of for you.
All of that debris and weeds and anything that was around those plants hindering their growth is now out of the way.
And as you look at your plants,
See them healthy and vibrant,
Lush and strong.
Feel contentment and fullness in your heart of gratitude and appreciation.
Send that appreciation and love from your heart to your plants.
Send light,
Love,
And joy from your own heart,
From your own inner light to those beautiful plants for that which is growing and that what you wanted to bring forth.
And as you look at those plants holding them in front of you,
It's time to gently release them into the ether,
Into the universe,
Into the field around you.
Let it go.
Let go of the image of the plants.
Know that deep in your heart,
It will be taken care of,
It will be nurtured,
And it will be kept in an environment conducive to its growth.
This is the beginning of spring,
And this is what this season does.
It knows how to nurture blossoms,
And it will take care of yours.
Take a deep cleansing breath into your heart.
Let it go out of your heart.
Take a deep breath into your heart and release it down into the earth.
Take a deep breath into your heart and release it up through your crown.
With this next breath in,
You can begin to slowly wiggle your fingers and toes.
Gently honor for yourself for that which you are manifesting with love in your heart.
Gently come back into this time and space.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
And in this state,
As you're returning,
Remain silent and write down any things you may want to remember about your meditation.
What things in your life might represent the sun?
Those things that will energize,
Shine upon,
Warm your project or thing that you'd like to bring forth.
What things in your life might represent the rain that will water your project?
What will represent the soil where your roots will be held and nourished?
What's already in your life?
What needs to be brought more in to nurture your project,
Your way of being,
Your intention,
Whatever it was that you wanted to manifest.
You may want to journal about what your plants look like,
What plants were they,
And perhaps look up what the symbolism of that plant might be later on to give you guidance as you think about your manifestation.
And lastly,
If you had any weeds or debris around your plants,
What might that represent in your waking life?
What is crowding your space or taking too much of your time and needs to be cleared out?
And know and rest in the season that is embarking in front of us and have trust in your heart that it will nurture your life and you and your manifestation.
Thank you for your time.
Namaste.
