Hi,

I'm Carolina Lasso and today I'd like to invite you to create a space to practice gratitude.

To begin,

Find a comfortable position and a place that allows you to relax.

Feel free to close your eyes and rest your hands on your lap.

And take two deep breaths,

Letting go of what you were doing before and deepening your connection with this moment right here,

Right now.

Returning your breath to your natural rhythm,

Bring your awareness to your chest area.

Notice how it expands and contracts with each in-breath and out-breath.

And also notice that your heart is beating now.

You are alive.

Begin to connect with your sons of gratitude for that very reason,

For having the opportunity and the gift to be right here,

Spending a few minutes in stillness and prioritizing your self-care.

And now bring to your mind a moment from the past when you felt profound gratitude.

When was the last time you felt deeply grateful for something that happened in your life?

Try to remember the details around what took place,

If other people were involved,

And what caused you to feel so thankful.

With that event in mind,

Connect with the feeling of gratitude.

What does gratitude feel like in your body?

Can you identify a part of your body where you feel it most intensely?

It may be in the chest area,

Near your neck,

Your cheeks or your hands,

Or what other sensations do you perceive?

Stay with those sensations,

Observing them and deepening your connection with the feeling of gratitude for a few seconds.

And now I'd like to invite you to explore aspects of your present life that fill you with gratitude.

Can you identify one reason to be grateful for right now?

It may be a person or a pet,

Or having this space for stillness,

Or the food you have available to eat today,

Or that special someone who's supporting you these days,

Or having access to drinkable water,

Or a comfortable bed to sleep in.

Nothing is too simple or too small.

Any reason that makes you feel grateful is welcome.

Connect with that reason.

Connect with the gratitude that already exists in your heart.

Take another deep breath in and a long breath out.

Once again,

Deep breath in and a long breath out as we now shift to the future.

I'd like to invite you to bring to your mind something you long for,

Or something you have planned for the future,

And connect with the feeling of gratitude for what's to come.

Feel as though that which you long for has already happened.

It is already part of your present moment,

And bring up the feeling of gratitude for all of it.

Stay with the sensation of gratitude for the future,

For all the wonderful things that are coming for a few seconds.

If there is anything else in your heart you're feeling thankful for,

From your past,

From your present,

Or from your future,

Connect with it.

Any of those reasons that bring a smile to your face,

And make your eyes shine.

Sense the full range of emotions that gratitude makes you feel.

Notice the warm feelings in your body as gratitude grows and fills your whole being.

And finally,

Express gratitude to yourself for opening up this space to do this practice.

For the unique,

Wonderful,

Majestic,

And perfectly human being that you are.

For the loving person that you already are.

For being a source of love.

For all of your strengths and skills.

For your daily work to be a better human being.

For everything you do for others.

Gratitude for your entire being.

Gratitude for your life,

Just as it is.

Thank you for existing on this beautiful planet earth.

And now,

Start bringing your awareness back to your room.

Feel the contact that your feet make with the ground.

If you're open to it,

Bring your hands to your heart area with gratitude for completing this session.

And gently open your eyes.

Thank you deeply for joining me today,

And may the rest of your day be filled with reasons to be grateful for.
