Here's a helpful breathing technique to quickly reset the nervous system,
Reactivate the relaxation response.
Simply breathe in for four seconds,
Hold for five seconds,
And breathe out for eight seconds.
So we can do it together.
I'll count the first time.
On the next inhale,
Breathing in for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Holding for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
And breathing out for eight,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
And then let's just do it together.
Maybe three or four times.
Breathing in on the next inhale.
Holding for five.
Breathing out for eight.
Breathing in for four.
Holding for five.
And breathing out for eight.
Let's just do it two more times in silence.
